Well after testing several animals in pvp and none of them lost vitality I decided to bring out my mantigrue screecher. It was wonderful, I was winning, CH is great again, etc. However, later in the day a rifleman shot at my screecher as I was waiting to turn covert and was unbuffed. We attacked back but we both died in under 10 seconds. And to my great sadness my screecher is 98/100 vitality.

So it looks like we still can't use our best pets. I sent a message to CS hoping to get the vitality back but I am not sure what they can do.

Just a word of warning.

What pets were you fighting with previously? Were they BE'd?

Were any of the other wild animals other than the mantigrue tamed pre-patch?

Thats totally absurd, you shouldn't have this only affect post-tamed pets, when they changed decay in pvp for armour, people didn't have to run out and get new sets of armour, old sets were affected by the change. I hope that wasa rare-glitch and this isn't the issue we have at hand now.

*sighs* No kidding . . . . It won't affect me since I don't PvP, but I REALLY would feel bad for the folks who have to dump their datapads and get new animals in order to do something they've waited for.

You said it was a Rifleman who caused your Screecher to lose vitality. Could this be a result of the "Sniper Shot" ranged DB attack earned at Sniping IV? Sniper Shot isn't supposed to affect pets, so if it now is... that would be a bug.

Thats a very good point 9/10 rifleman have that SNIPER SHOT built into their combat macro's, regardless I doubt they tested this on TC, looks like we need to do a few test ourselves

Yeah it was a rifleman. He was right next to me because I charged him (I'm a TKM). But if he had it on a macro he could have used sniper shot. I don't have any imperial friends to test this with , but maybe this is an issue someone else can test. It was just me and him, no one else was fighting. And it looked like my 12k hamarmored petwent down in 2 or 3 hits which is unbelievable to me. (he died from health bar depletion) That's a different issue though

Oh, and I tried using the incap recovery without storing the pet to see if it brought the vitality back. It didn't.

Just checked the combat logs. Says he used sniper shot on me, even though we were right next to each other. The log got cut off because I logged off and back on but odds are he was using a macro/hotkey to deathblow the pet as well.

The same thing occured to me w/my sludge panther (sorry newbie ch), I believe he was at 98/100 and then after fighting 2 master rifleman, my pet was at 96/100 vitality, post-patch of course. Don't vitality packs renew the vitality back to 100 though?

No they lose one vitality point every time you use a

vitality pack. It would go to 99/99.

Please post details of your bug here:

They need details to fix this bug.
