My pets will use it on their own occassionally.
Some people claim it works on command for them, but neither the poisons, the diseases nor knockdown do for me.

Shabhaii has a pet with strong poison. Mine won't use it on command either, but uses it quite often (every fight, if he has enough time) on his own.

My razor cat with strong disease will dish out on command probably 75% of the time....I'm not sure but I think it has to do with game mechanics and where your pets attack is in the queue of"game time" if that makes any sense. She will however do it on her own in just about every fight, I only use the command if she doesnt land it on her own by the time the enemy is at 50% ham.

I have a fully grown Angler with strong poison (self built when I had BE), and I can't get it to poison on command, but it will poison on it's own if combat is long enough.

Not necessarily true...My cat will land her disease on an avg of3 out of 5 maulers or trade federation guys and they will go down in 3 hits by herbefore i even get to firing range.

My pet will generally land it in the first ten hits . . . by long enough, I mean not letting someone else kill it in two hits.
