I have been trying out my new BE pets that have ranged attack and strong poison + strong disease. Not once have I seen a poison or disease show up on the enemy while using a ranged attack so I was wondering ifpoison+disease works while using ranged attacks?

I've only ever seen mine get their poison and disease off on a target while in melee combat. Also, you can't give them the command to do either special like you can dizzy/intimidation/blind etc.. They do it on their own when they decide.
