Creature Handler Archive

Ok, So I've been a master Creature handler for a good 10 months now. After the Ch nerf i found myself all new pets and have had them since. I haven't tamed anything in forever...

Well about 2 days ago i start getting an itch for a mantigrue screecher. I think to myself "It'd be nice to have a nice new rare pet" and I prepare myself for what I just know is bound to be weeks and weeks of searching. "At least I'll make some change off of the missions" =)...

So off to endor i go. Grab my first 2 missions and finish them with nothing out of the ordinary.

I head back to the outpost and grab two more. I arrive at the 3rd and take out the two buggers sitting there. I then begin pounding on the lair. A screecher pops and i have my pets drag it a good way off to avoid aggro, in case a baby pops... Yeah right, what are the odds...

No sooner had I thought that than BAM... a baby.

After months without taming I think 'Im going to be way too rusty and lose this fella.' Well after 5 attempts I start to believe it.

I give it one more go. And it happens. You have tamed creature! =)

So I got my lovely screecher in only 3 mission and in less than an hour.

ANother MCH and I did that and got 2 in 2 hours with hard work.

I am not sure they are so rare. I could be wrong.

Anyway. we figured 1every 4 lairsand a 3% chance of poping a baby per lair.

Hehe, yeah it was fun, especially the night before when I tried a solo attempt at a screecher. 970 action wounds from one strike on me. Can't wait to try one out in pvp. Hey Abdullah, how do you like your screecher?

I really dont know how rare they are or not. I know they aren't easy to get and you better have a doctor near by incase one of them got close to u.

I love my screecher.

For the disease and poisons of the wildlife, I've kept TK 4000 in my template to meditate those things away. Of course, it's not good until you've dispatched any agro - but still a worthwhile thing to have if you can spare the skill points, just in case no doc is around.
