Thread: TAMABLE GURK BABY SEEN!
Yesterday I got a mail from a friend telling me to hurry to Lok that he was standing next to a shaggy gurk "baby" Yes a baby!!!! This happened at 6pm eastern time
(server corbantis)....unfortunately I didn't come online for another hour (kick self) and when I got there it was gone no surprise. My friend has lived on Lok for 3 months and said he had Never seen a gurk baby before..much less a plain old shaggy gurk,...not a shaggy gurk youth, just plain old shaggy gurk. I asked him if it wasn't a crazed gurk destroy which read tamable: yes,...he said no its was a shaggy gurk baby and it was out side the nest along with some destroyers and shaggies near the king gurk that spawns furthest to the east.....he said he got screen shots of the plain old shaggy gurks..tho I don't know that he will post em I don't think he posts.
Recently the badge of intellect started spawning again(kinda)..so I'm wondering if that fix didn't bump all the rare spawns so to speak? or maybe it doesn't work like that. Anyways a gurk is the animals I want most of all, if anyone has any info on boss spawn babies please tell me about your experiences with it, I know there was someone on here saying they tamed some boss pikets babies. (I have set up a hunting lodge on Lok and I plan to hunt these till I get a baby or decide it was a glitch baby and that its bugged not spawning.)

and sorry, but i'll have to politely call BS until some proof arises. if your friend were standing next to it, surely the thought crossed his mind to movehis finger 3 inches and press the print screen button.this is the frenzied graul debate again.
getting your friend to post the shots of the adults to begin with would go a long way in proving your case.

sigh!..I am as usual not trying to prove my case, dear grifer...this is the current info I have gotten it maybe true, it maybe false.The proof will ultimately be in people posting and saying they have seen them too and nothing else!
I figure if I put it on the board and someone see it and they have a similar experiences or other info I would appreciate them telling me and others soI spend as little time as possible chasing ghosts and/or figure out a better way to hunt rares of this type. Any one wish to give megrief can keep it to themselves!!!! If I'm seemly over confident its simply because I am excited about the prospect of a cool new baby popping up.Maybe you should trygetting excited, Its Fun! =D

boss creatures such as shaggy gurk youths and crazed gurk destroyers have been in the game for the last several publishes. and yes, they're boss spawns only, aside from a single static spawn i've found that has a couple of shaggy gurk youths on an hourly timer. possibility being that he thought he saw a lair of them from them spawning while someone was beating on it, killing the player, and healing the lair back to full.
on my server, there's about 7 or 8 different player cities on lok, and it's one of the more heavily populatedplanets thanks toastrong faction-based presence there. most people know to not expect gurks to have a baby, so if one spawns i would have heard about it by now.
mislabled baby?! As I approached the dot on my map, I was shocked to find a rodian thug named Bull Rancor! I killed him in one hit and spat on his corpse. Nobody toys with me! LOL
Thisone in particular is a quest target. There's an Ithorian in the Dathomir Outpost cantina who sends you to rescue a bull rancor who has been captured by criminals (your typical "go to waypoint and rescue NPC from hostile NPCs" quest, like you would find in some theme parks). I guess the quest system isn't set up to generate animals forthis type of mission, though, because the target is always an NPC named "Bull Rancor."

I was hunting rancors on Dathomir and as I rode by a valley, I targeted a green Bull Rancor. I was like

I think I will write csr later and ask them if crazed gurk destroyers are bugged or spawning babies just to see what they say. Atm its the only gurk that has tamable: yes next to its name that I have actually seen so I will start with that. Aside from that and what ever non-answer they are most likely gonna give me I will just keep checking the posts to see what people are beginning to run into this weekend. Surly a ch will catch one of these at some point!
(I wonder if this is how the people who chase bigfoot feel?)
