Hi all,

I'm about to get Master CH and I think that as a Master CH you should ride (except for long trips) a mount.

What is the absolute fastest mount I can train?

Thanks

Kaadu or carrion spat are the fastest, but take longer to regenerate after a gallop. there is a thread somewhere comparing all the mounts and these 2 came out top for overall average speed. Get a BE to make you a nice Cl 25 uber-mount, then you can ride into battle with your 2 favourite pets at your side

At normal speed, the mounts are the same.

At gallop, the carrion spat and the kaadu are fastest, but have the shortest period of galloping.

The dewbacks and bols are moderate gallop speed with moderate periods of galloping.

The brackasets, falumpasets, and humbabas have the slowest gallop speed, but sustain it the longest.

In tests on Lok, the big mounts won the race, mainly because they could gallop the longest, even at a slower speed. This is over relatively flat terrain.

So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a quick getaway from an untenable combat situation, go with the avians. If you're looking to cover the most ground on the long haul, go with the giant quadrupeds.

If you're looking to be impressive, go with a giant carrion spat or a savage humbaba. My savage humbaba never ceases to cause people to react in awe.

As far as speed I use a Giant Carrion Spat. Seems like the fastest pet I've used so far.One nice plus is that because they're so tall, unless you get into deep deep water they rarely have to swim, they'll just wade right through.

Yeah, avians swim slowest, dewbacks fastest, and the big ones can wade a lot.

By the way, we're having a cross-country mount race on Scylla tomorrow night, and anyone is welcome to hang out and party and see for yourselves how the mounts hold out. Send me a PM if you need more info.

Anybody happen to know the general area I can find a Savage Humbaba? I remember they're from Talus and Corellia but I haven't really explored those planets much.

Yep, Agrilat Swamp on Corellia is loaded with them. Go to Daoba Guerfel and set your waypoint at Kor Vella, and you'll ride right through it.
