We now know that mounts will be coming into existance before vehicles, but my question is: Are we going to have to buy/craft saddles to be able to ride these beasts? The critters that are sitting around as decorations all have saddles, as does the picture on this site, so just wondering...

My guess is yes, you will need a saddle. And it will probably have to be crafted by an artisan possibly the ch himself, like musicans can make instruments.

That would be kinda cool having to craft saddles for the mounts, wonder if you could make different color saddles?

Having to craft a saddle to ride a mount sounds lame... I want to go bareback riding!

anyone know if rancors are going to be ridable? I read that the force witches use them as mounts... just a thought.

My question is - Is there any plans to make it so CH's can sell pre trained pets to non-CH's? Or at least mounts? Anyone know?

Hmm.. I like this idea of crafted saddles actually.. I think it should require a Tailor.

i think we should craft saddles as CH's..

As for giving non CH's pets.. they took that out in beta..

And as for letting others ride your mounts, i'm sure.. that they'll make mounts and pets seperate entities.. I will be very unhappy if a mount counts as a pet.. Then we could only have 1 mount and 2 pets out..

Has anyone thought yet aboutthe price a mount should be sold at yet? From theIn development page it says that dewbacks,Rontos, banthas will be mounts, but I'm sure there will be others that can be tamed as a mount too. For pricing we should keep in mind though that there are many types of Banthas, Dewbacks etc. We should come up with a list of prices forthe weakest version to the Bio-Engineered version, or should we set two standard prices Wild Mounts and Bio-engineered mounts. The Weakest to BE pricing would only work if non CH can use other commands like attack etc with their mounts. Else I say we price it the other way. So the question is How much should a wild mount be sold for and howmuch should a BE mount go for? Anyone have any thoughts?

Pricing would depend on if BE can experiment for movement speed, and if mounts will regularly be attacked by mobs/other players.

If it's no to both, there's no difference between a BE mount and a wild mount other than the status symbol of large HAMs.

Again, if so, I think it should be based off noticable differences within a single species. Such as an odd colored dewback vs the standard green one, or a dappled gualama vs a plain one.(provided gualamas are mountable, I assume they will be) With faster or better looking species being worth more. IMO banthas are ugly. I'd pay more for a dewback than a bantha, even if everything else about them was equal.
