Wanted to see if this has been brought up.
As an ex-Master Ranger, I got kind of use to being able to see all the stats of creatures I would /examine. What I can't figure out is why CH's don't get these same abilities considering the job description of CH.
Has this been brought up and squashed already?

Yes, the Rangers feel it would be taking one more thing away from their profession. You can get the ability to see CL now through force sensative skills.

That makes no sense whatsoever...Rangers don't really need those skills, but as Ranger has so little going for it I can see where they would fight against that ability...but it still doesn't make sense

Rangers don't have a need for the skills?
They are supposed to be the ultimate hunters. If you need to know about a creature, you go to the person that studies and hunts them in the wild.
At its core, a Creature Handler's job is to break creatures of their instinctive traits. We deal in animal psychology. Would learn learn some things about animals? Possibly, but not to the extent of someone whose life is spent in the field.
Perhaps in practice you are out there taming and learning about creatures, but that just means you are acting like a Ranger, so you should picking up those skills if you want their benefit. Just like shooting a rifle doesn't make you a master Rifleman unless you buy those skills.

Well TBH I feel that CH's shouldn't necessarily see creature stats from /examine (rangers need some sort of bone) - but there is one related thing that does really bug me.
If you tame a BE'd creature you see all it's stats on the datapad - including resists and specials, but for creatures tamed from the wild you don't get this information ever.
So unless you look it up on swg creatures, a CH without ranger ability can't actually see what specials thier pet has, despite being able to order the pet to use them on command.................!
This really does need to be fixed - there's no way a CH wouldn't know this sort of thing about the pets they have tamed - and it is real problem when trying to compare tamed pets.

I would have to agree with his last post, being able to see the abilities, and possibly stats of creatures i have tamed... you know, cause i tamed them.
I am a master CH, and have been for a while now, and i find it really anoying that i look at my pets, and cant see there skills and what not, and being a master scout, master ranger, master CH is... well retarded, that would be my 3 proffs, and id get my butt handed to me constantly, being that id be a wimp in combat. So seeing you pets info just.... makes sense!

I was about ready to vehemently disagree. One reason I spent points on Ranger was so I could examinecreatures and see theirstats. Then I sawyour last post explaining you meant stats of creatures you tamed, and thought Hmmmm, you're right. There is no reason a CH shouldn't know the stats/abilities of his own pet. Well, other than it might be one of those programing nightmares. After reading that rant attributed to Jeff Woods, I'm reluctant to suggest anything that might send our poor programers over the edge

I'm sorry, I should have made myself clearer. Being able to see the stats on tamed creatures is what I am talking about. I don't need the /examine screen like the ranger has, but I should know the full abilities of any creature I have tamed...

Yes, CHs should be able to see ALL the stats of creatures they tamed. Should be listed in the datapad entry, just like a BE'd pet.

Tamed creatures is another matter. Yes, I can agree with seeing those.
