How do you know when your pet has fully matured? You can guestimate by it's size, yes, but there must be an indicator.

Look in the datapad. If the pet is a baby, under class level it will say something like 4 (40) meaning it is currently cl4, and when full grown will be cl40. When you only see a 40 under CL, it has fully matured.

Thanks for the answer.
How long does it take a pet to mature on average? Does a BE pet mature to the same full size as a wild pet?

A BE pet will mature larger than the basic wild, but not specifics. For example, a BE rancor should be larger than a natural "rancor" but may be smaller than a natural "bull rancor"
A pet will take 9 days to mature, but the process can be limited to around 3-4 if you feed it, play with it, hunt with it, etc.

erm ,what? sorry but this is just a myth and has been disproved on many occasions (ive disproved it myself). all pets take 7 days to grow to adult, assuming that you log in at least once every day (so if you of iin only once a week it will take 7 weeks). absolutley nothing will affect the rate of growth other thatn you logging on once a day.
Well, sort of.
Tott is correct - assuming there are no unanticipated shutdowns, patches or other glitches that restart or reset the server.
The "pet growth routine" gets run at some point during server reboot (normally once a day) and will grow your pets assuming you've logged in at some point over the last day or so (when I went on holiday for 2 weeks the babies didn't grow at all).
Since this runs at reboot you may have noticed your pets growing faster over the last couple of days what with patches and tornadoes. Certainly the TMB I tamed on thursday was adult by saturday, which I put down to Chilastra going up and down like errr... something that goes up and down a lot.

there's a random aspect to this as well, my b/f and I got BE pets(pre-BE patch) on the same day, tamed within an hour of each other. His was fullgrown in 3 days, mine took the full week. Might have to do with species, I'm a zabrak and he's a human...

My bad....the one time I didn't interact with a pet it took 9 days....then I said screw it and started playing with them 24/7 to get to 4 days. I apologize for the incorrect answer.

As a master now, I'm finding my pets don't grow nearly as fast as they used to...

I've had pets mature in 3 days, some took more than a week. I had2 giant crystal snakes, tamed within an hour of each other, one hit adult 2 days before the other, using them both equally.
