Was just thinking of some ways to make CHs more viable in groups as pets ARE meant for taking damage.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to impliment this, but what if pets shared their master's defensive bonuses (skill tree aka. ranged/melee mitigation, defense vs affects, etc..), similar to EQ having pets share their master's resists?

Since most MCHs I know have an elite combat profession mastered or have at least some of the skill tree, this would probably buff up the tanking abilities of our pets pretty significantly.

/shrug Of course this would have to be midway through the CH tree or even at master when it would take effect to avoid dabblers just buffing up their sickening low BE pets, but I figured I'd just toss it out there and seewhat you guys think.

It would help yes, but personally, I fail to see the link:

I'm good at blocking attacks with my metal staff, therefore my pet should be good at blocking attacks with his...feet?

now there's an oppertunity for a new SWG phrase.....'MCH defence stacker'. i can see it now.....you hit and you hit and you hit a persons wild durni with some ackley hammer....and it doesn't do anything. funny, but i think a whole lotta ppl would go in ultra CH flame mode....
