There is a lot of elitist hatred towards anyone who doesn't plan on being a master CH I've noticed. There is a lot I can't do because of my non-completion of the CH tree, things like stay and guard, only 2 pets, etc. I am a "Creature Tamer" with taming 4, manage 3, empathy 2. I am a bounty hunter with pistol 4. I am a pistoleer with grips 4, abilities 2.

Are you considering me a problem? if so you need to re-think the whole point of the profession system. My character is done, and out of skill points, and I love him. I might drop stuff and change in the future, because I am waiting to see how BH and CH both pan out, but for now, WYSIWYG.

I agree. It's simply too easy to make novice CH and get a pet.

I hope SOE makes it so that a novice CH, can only use creatures with < 1000 HAM or something. And maybe at each Taming Tier that would rise. But I fear they won't do that, and we will have tons of people running around with 1-5K HAM creatures that only invested enough points to get to novice CH.

If that isn't a balance issue, I don't know what is.

Falfa I do belive this guy was not refering to your choice in theory but in fact that alot of people just planned on going noivce CH and that is all. CH at novice was too cheap for the amount of pet power you could get.

Heads-up on a change...

...unfortunately, it is probably one you won't like.

There are currently two tamable creatures that are unbalanced due to an abnormally high armor rating. The Gurreck & Giant Sand Beetle are going to have their armor changed from Medium to Light.

We're going to have to go through the armor ratings for all creatures, particularly tamable ones, in the near future, to catch any other glitches like this one.

I'm another BH that got involved with the CH profession. I made BH very fast..nine days after my server went online to be exact. Anyway I quickly learned the difficulty of the BH missions and thought I could take up CH just to have a meatshield to occupy the mark while i did my thing. So I posted here asking about what path I should take to get myself *A* pet to help out. The folks here were very helpful and many suggested I get to Management 3 to have a pair of "helpers". So off I went and quickly began to realize how much FUN aquiring pets and watching them grow up could be. As it stands now I have management 3, Taming 2, and training 1. I am hoping to complete the Management and Taming trees. Yes this has made my missions easier and I can actually make money at a better pace than doing langlatch missions now. It's not a cakewalk and I have lost pets to Bad Guys but I'm having a blast. Realize though that in choosing this route I cannot achieve Master BHand have to pick and choose what BH skills to aquire. I may have set my self up to be owned by either higher lev BH or Higher lev CH's but I'm not into pvp and am geared toward pvm so it's working for me. If a nerf comes along that would force me to choose one or the other I really have no idea where I would go.

Voxual cause it is easier to hate than to think that not all us CH used exploits to Make Master CH. It is much easier to think we are all CHs to OWNZER them all, when in fact I thought CH was going to be a bit underused due to fact of ATST and droids.

In the patch, mask scent was made to be removed when entering combat. This makes plenty of sense to me, normally - except when considering conceal shot. The whole purpose of the shot is to remain concealed. However, when you fire you lose your masked scent... so any aggro creature has a good chance of smelling you and going aggro even though you're using a shot which has the intention of making you remain concealed from that which you are shooting. PLEASE, devs, consider reversing this for that shot? It doesn't make sense to reveal yourself using a shot which is meant to conceal.

Unless someone can give me a LOGICAL reason why we shouldn't be able to remain concealed when using conceal shot?

aware that it just got hit by something yes.....automatically no exactly where you are and be able to alert everyone else in the area....not likely.

If you're hidden that well and shoot a silent shot from cover...why the hell should every creature in the area jump on you like ants ata picnic?

Nah, left rifleman long ago.....stupid screwed up class if you asked me.....to many dumb things, like this for example.
