Thread: Pet turning mission to red (argo) dots?

I'm fairly new to CH and am confused about something. I have a pet... Level 54 Arachne Hatchling... that when I pull her out to fight she takes one hit and all the creatures around us turn from yellow dots to red dots and argo her.

When examing her it says she is NOT Aggressive or Stalker. I thought maybe she was and that was why this was happening.

If anyone can help me on this I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Were you sending her in to attack a "social" creature? Usually those react pretty peeved when one of their herd gets attacked...

Not quite sure what you mean by "social"? We were doing missions... the creatures had yellow dots (inside the level color.) But not only did the missions creatures turn argo... other nearby creatures did too.

I should also mention that none of my other pets do this... and I've tested them on the same missions as the spider.

Does it have an area attack in specials?

Not sure what "Argo" is I pre-suppose you me "aggro" or aggressive.

If you are fighting a "socal" group of mobs, they will all "aggro" on you as they fight in a bunch.

Even though the CU/ Nerf changed most of the creatures of SWG this still seems to work on occasion.

As no pets in the game currently have "AE" or Area effect capabilities, this is not the issue.

Typically (your milage may vary) you can pick mobs 1 at a time even if social groups as the CU/ Nerf even messed this up, get beyond 100m and sic your pet.

Right after your command happens spam the follow command and wait for the mob to come to you, (Typically) this works fine.

You can also watch for the exclamation point to happen on the mob and pet before you start spamming thefollow command, I usually wait till 20m or so before re-commanding to attack.

Hope it helps!

Merib,

You are correct, I mean aggro. Apparently I'm not making myself clear. I do missions all the time with my pets. I use 16 different pets and only this one particular one is causing this problem. I go into the mission just as I do with all my other pets... target one creature (non-agressive with non-agressive herd)... and we pick them off one at a time. With this particular pet though, the other non-agressive creatures always become agressive and I don't know why.

As far as I can tell she doesn't have any special attacks. But from what I read most of them are bugged. She ALWAYS sets off this aggro on her first hit.

I really like her and want to keep her, but if I can't resolve this she's gonna have to go.

Thanks again...

In my opinion, Hatchlings are bugged. Take a mission on them on Endor and you will see what I'm talking about. If you attack it close enough to it's lair, it will do an AOE that will damage even the lair, starting the next wave of spawns, so you can see them healing the lair, etc.....

So I'm going to say that it's either a bug in the hatchlings, or an intended AOE of some kind......

I stand corrected Laura

I was not aware of the hatchling bug, they may very well have a secret AE that wasn't totally stifled.

If so, I will try and tame one tonight and see for myself as I have not witnessed what you are describing unless it is a social group.

I don't remember this animal having an AE pre-CU/ Nerf however, the gaping spiders and Arachne Queenbeing the only spiders I can recall with AE.

Interesting research project, I will give it a try tonight.
