I'm led to believe its not possible to tame a critter over your own CL.. Is that true?

Your mastery level dictates your taming level not your CL (Combat Level).
This is listed under your skills for creature handler, a master can control up to 3 pets for a combinedtotal of CL 70

The "You cannot tame this creature" bug was part of the wonderful CU/ Nerf.
Some have reported this, I personally have not seen it yet.
It may depend on your clothes, CH level or how high the Dathomirian moon is at any given time, they "say" they are fixing it.
You are high enough level to tame this corrct? Do you have any +taming vicious creature clothes?

I found that having the CH clothes makes a big difference when trying to tame high level creatures.
