I think Creature Handlers shuld have a skill to Comfort wild Creature MOBs. Imagine youre hunting on tatooine in a Group. Then theres a Kyrat, that your group couldn't blow up. Then the CHs is going to Comfort the Kyrat and the group MAY can pass it. what do you think?

Sounds very like the jedi ability called 'animal calm'. I think you are right though, personally since of its power I don't think that it should be usable on anything higher than a CH's taming abilities but it's success could be tied in with the CH's taming abilities.

was this group hunting nuna's or something?..i think they have this taken care of with burst run..i think a group should be able to take on a krayt, and if not just go the other way, this seems like a noob command that would have little use as your template progresses, just my opinion

It would be particularly useful for BEs actually. One of the more likely outcomes of a sampling session is an agro. If there was an ability for the BE to calm the animal and continue sampling, a lot more BEs would take up CH.

I think you better hope Krayt's can smell stupidity, and that it tastes poorly on their tongues. Otherwise you are just going to be an anonymous lump in a steaming pile out there in the graveyard.

I would say give this skill to us or Rangers. It makes perfect sense, surprised it is not in there now. Have a chance to turn an aggro creature(s) non aggro for a while.

On a serious note, being able to calm aggressive creatures in the middle of combat is not feasible. They are not red for nothing. They are not a good type of creature to use this on. Now if you made them able to do something like this to single or a couple non-aggressive creatures you may have something. Calming down a herd of Bantha after drawing aggression would be both believable and useful, for alot of professions.

But they won't even fix the knockdown attacks on our pets, and that only requires inputting a percentage into the attack that they already let TK's abuse. So I doubt you will see this ever happen.

Hmm... if you wanted to 'pass' a Krayt, couldn't you just stay 60m away from it and just try to avoid it overall? I really don't see the big picture here. Now if it was a blockade of Krayts, then there might be some use to this skill.

I couldn't imagine anyone in the SWG univerise being able to tame a Krayt. Krayts are just too aggressive, and probably would like it if you tried to calm them. It's an easy meal for them.

Being able to "calm" a creature means you have to get into the mind of the beast. The animal isn't just going to switch from raging mad to happy in a heart beat. So what's left to change the creature's attitude? Most Chs have no force powers, we can't talk to animals to calm them(I know, I have tried....), and we can't beat them to a bloody pulp to make them understand. I am not saying that the creatures are dumb, I am just saying that there is no way for a human or alien to talk to abeast and make it calm down(in reality that is.) But who knows?Maybe some day a race of animal talking aliens will visit my doorstep.

Now, I do not claim to be expert on RL animals, but I am sure there are people out there that deal with them alot. Now, with those people, I am sure, that they can have a general 'feel' for the animal, be it a bear, or a badger. Take someone like Steve Irwin, from the Animal Planet. Sure, he has done some crazy stuff, like go in a creek at night with a known aggressive croc with nothing but a stick. I am sure he can assess the general intention of an animal.
I do not think it would be out of the question to have something simple, and not too extreme. I would not expect to tame a Kryat or anything else that is beyond us. I would like to see it work in conjunction with mask scent. I spend alot of time on Dath, my mask scent does get broken at times. It would be for those times that having a 'calm' animal might come in useful. Make certain Aggro creatures NOT aggro on you. I get tired of having a line of red dots following me around. If I could calm them, it would make life a little easier on me.

Jedi get it all, don't they? The devs kill me with that sh*t. Every day i read a post about some other "jedi ability".

I can't get most of my pets to calmly stand next to me for 10 seconds but the jedi can calm animals and even turn my

own pets against me. Escuse me while I puke

sorry i'll clean that up
