Hi, I''m Elvar ... TKM, Master CH
and since the CU have had problems with my pets attacking in battle !
I realised there may have been a problem with the conversion so off I went to get
some more babies.
Fully grown and nice high Healths and Damage off I went into Battle !
Seemed to be going well for a while with my Fierce Picket Protector attacking when told with the Exclamation mark coming above his head ! GREAT I thought !
Logged back on the next day ... same MOBS ... same XP .... same creature ... and now when I ask
it to attack, the ! comes above the head and it ust stands there ! Follow no problem .. groups no problem.. but attack ???? No way !
Put him away and called 2 more ! Fine, call a couple of cats that I used ! Male and Female Plains tusk cats ... not too strong but cute and nice and small so they don't take up the whole combat screen when fighting in a group ! Guess what ! Same again ... This time the one of the cats semingly does nothing, the other fires on in there no problem, and the other just sits there !
Great !!!! MOB dead .... XP missed ... but hey whats that over the other direction .... oh no .. there goes the cat that was doing nothing ... just run 150m the other direction to attack a MOB that wasn't even near and doing nothing ! Sheeesh !
Anyone else got these problems ! I NEED CH to help my weak TKM now and NON responsive Creatures if NOT what I need !
HELP !!! PLEAAASE !!!

This sounds suspiciously like a terrain problem. If the pet doesn't have a clear line of sight to the target, it accepts the Attack command but then stands there doing nothing until you give it the Follow command .... if you're lucky it acknowledges that and 'resets' its attack posture.
This makes hunting with your pet in a place like Dathomir nearly impossible, especially with multiple pets. Experiment a little to see if moving to a location with a clearer look at the target (from the *pet* perspective, not yours, remember!) fixes the issue.

It is indeed a terrain or Line of sight issue.
Most of the time however you cannot correct the state once the pets are in this due to some "undocumented feature" read bug.
This is just one of the many bugs effecting the CH right now, the work-around is to spam the follow or trick commands until your pet normalizes.
I have found that 80%+ or better of the time that the state cannot be corrected requiring logging off (for 5-10 mins) is the only fix.
So I hunt alot with a pet just watching me fight LOL!
Killing the offending mob seems to fix this state as well.
Hope they fix it soon...

both particulars cited:
- line of sight
- multiple animals
as causing the problem were relevant, in my case, up until yesterday.
now a single pet with a clear LOS, has fallen into this pattern.
the planet was yavin, and after two attacks it was useless.

Not a terrain or line of sight issue. . . I've had mobs right on me, whacking away and my pet just stands there no matter how many times I tell it to attack. I usually have to store it then recall it then it is fine. Of course I don't find out it doesn't work until I am incapped. Then when I get up I store it, recall it and no problem for awhile.
I sometimes notice this happens after I give it a different command, like follow. One time I thought. . . ok. . . try getting my pet to attack first before I attack. . . unfortunately, what happens is, the exclamation mark appears over my pet and the mob. . . the mob attacks and my pet just stands there.
Really strange.

I had the same problem mostly when using multiple pets. One would attack and the other would stand there and pick his nose. I actually had to retrain the attack command to get him going again. Happened 3 times in one night.

Last night I started noticing that, when my creature didn't attack after given the command to attack, it started spamming exclamation marks. In other words, exclamation marks just poured off my pet but it just stood there and died.
