If I use /tellpet to tell my pet to attack, it just squats down like it is doing a ranged attack. If I say it or yell it, it works fine. Anyone else having this problem?

Haveing the same problem I think maybe some syntax got changed, or maybe I screwed up the macro. I set my macro up six months ago, and my pc exploded so I lost all the settings.

I have this probem on occasion as well I usually find a safe spot log out and do a full scan then it works or you can try the shuttle one hop planets and see if that works
scan works best for me so far ( first time this happened I thought it was a bug where pets wouldnt attack their live counterparts my gurrecks wouldnt attack any other gurrecks until I did scan )

not sure if this will help your problem...but /tellpet has been known to not work correctly with command words less than 4 letters...such as "a" or "f"....anyway, hope it gets fixed for ya.

I've had this problem and the way I get around it is by telling my pet to follow the target and then tell it to attack. The pet will stand in spot but be in melee range and hit it.

I haven't had this problem (yet), but I trained 2 of the new expansion pets for someone last night, and the pets wouldn't respond to /tellpet trick 1 or 2.It was weird. All the other /tellpet commands worked except trick.

Try using a different word for your command. I used to use "play" for trick 1 but I started to see that not working a lot more then it did work. I changed my pet's trick 1 command to "trick" and that has been working very well for me.

Works fine for me unless the enemy is to far away or is behind a hill/object so it cant be "seen"

I've noticed that my cats (without a ranged attack) simply will not attack a mob that is attacking them with a ranged attack. I had to stand there and watch my 3 girls die to a Merek who was spitting poison at them. They just stood there staring at the Merek until they died, one by one. I'd say this is a big bug.

Thanks for all the good info. I will try some of these suggestions. I use mostly cats and they all do it. I will try my other types of pets and see if it may be cat specific.
