What breed and source (trained or BE'd) is a good mix of speed and stats post-CU for mounts these days? I'm returning to the profession, appreciate any tips.
Also, what's the quest mount on wookieland that I've seen briefly mentioned around here? Where does it start, any info pls.
Mounts sure are slow (obsolete?) post CU, I have to put them away when in a group and the next mission is over 200 meters away, or the rest of the group on vehicles will have killed the lair by the time I ride up. They pass me pretty dramatically now, and I can barely perceive any difference between gallop and non-gallop, if at all.

well there are 3 new mounts on the wookie panet the varactyl, the wookie bantha, and the boltaur. The var is gotten by mch only by talking to a rodian in the camp that has a nontargable var next to him. The bantha one is start on the 3rd lvl i think its the find brody smith quest. the bolotaur which i still need to do is started by the genotion how ever you spell it in the cage in town. The other question i have no idea but i was told the var is the fastest mount out there but i do not know for sure.

The post-CU mount speed is the same as the pre-CU mount speed. It's the nonmounted (unridden)speed that has changed. See the Mount Speed list in the stickied FAQ. There, you will find the measured speeds for all mounts.

Speed is good to know, but all around riding into combat, other stats matter yes? So post-CU, really looking for some insight on best of breed (breed and source) mounts for battle, with speed in mind for general use. Thanks for the info.
