ok a while back before i took some time off i was working CHer never made it to a master gave up hope before i made it there

well i'm back and starting to give up hope. i kept hearing about how great 3 female Narglatch were. i have 3 grown ones and all i can say i they suck when fighting even cons to me. they only do 32 points damage each. i love the idea of having 3 pets out my pack but the damage they do makes them useless in pve and i'm guessing pvp too. so my main question are we stuck using only single pets at level 80? is that the only way to get them to do viable damage?

This answer may seem a bit simple, (and long winded ) but I have been a CH for a Looong time so......

The real trouble here ISN'T that the pets aren't doing their job, they are doing the best that they can. The root of the problem stems from a general "Genericification" (is that a word ) of all pets in general. Gone are the days of "The right critter for the right job", there IS no right critter anymore. Since all the single spawn rares seem to have gone extinct as far a babies go, you are pretty much stuck with what you have. Besides, having a cool rare pet to hunt with IS NOT what it used to be, so you aren't missing out on too much.

Your solutions as far as I see them are:

1) continue to use the Nargies but do so ONLY IN A GROUP. It will help some with how long they last in combat.

2) Fight lesser prey. Not really a answer if you are looking for CH exp of any kind, but there are TONS of new missions on Kashyykk where your Narg trio will do you proud, make you some decent cash, AND get you some pretty cool loot.

All that being said, there IS a 3rd option. One that many of my fellow CH seem to like to employ. For many of them this seems to be the ONLY thing that they can do.

3) B*tch, whine, moan, complain, name call and cry. AGAIN not really a way to go if you are looking for CH exp of any kind OR if you are an adult. ( for these folks I offer a 4th option...quit. )

PLEASE, do not let the #3's get the best of you! These people cant handle a change in a VIDEO GAME and for that reason alone they are lesser than we are. The fact that you came here asking for advice in a civilized and dignified manner leads me to believe that you can deal with these (hopefully temp.) setbacks.

Good luck!

I've found out that the ability to pull out more than one pet has become useless. MOB's waste them in an instant. Stick with pulling out one pet, highest level you can get. They have the best chance for survival. And, hey! Don't forget to back them up out there. The world got alot nastier for them.

its all in the group after pub 17. when my naglatches are grouped with me they are lvl80 in the damage calculation, doing around 110 pts of damage each per round on a CL80 dewback.

its the same with all pets now. my ungrouped CL65 choku went down pretty fast against a CL78 dewback. then i grouped and tried again and now he did about the same damage as the dewie and did a good tanking job for me. the positive thing is that u can powerup pets to your CL now, giving them a good chance to stand against your level of opponents. the negative thing is that u are a burden for groups now, taking away at least 2 valuable spots (of 8 possible). this makes CH a solo prof now.

c-mot has it right. Group with your pets. That effectively raises their CL to match yours, if you're a higher level than they are.

I regularly take out CL 80+ mobs with ease with my grouped female narglatch trio. Use ROOT attacks! Send in your pets, root the mob, and fire away. The mob will try and go after you, but it can't move, so it gets hammered by you and your pets, and doesn't do any damage to your pets because it's still trying to get to you.

Just try not to aggro more than one mob at a time... that could be a bad thing.
