Thread: Bolotaur and Kashyyyk Bantha?
Unfortunately, there are no tamable creatures on Kashyyyk. Unless you count the level 65 varactyl, but that tame is granted as a quest reward to MCHs who complete it.
Both of these critters are quest rewards as well. Talk to Mara Johnson on the third tree level to start the rather long quest that results in the awarding of the bantha. You'll need access to the Etyyy hunting grounds to complete the quest.
Talk to the geonosian in the cage across the path from the tree to get started on the quest that awards the bolotaur at the end. This one involves a trip to the Geo caves, not for the faint of heart, or those who don't have some combat chops.

There are 3 separate creatures quest-able on Wookieland? I heard there'sa big lizard mount, bigger than the varactyl, is that the same CL 65 varactyl you're referring to, or is that the Bolotaur? If the Bolotaur is not the big lizard, then what's a Bolotour? How is the Bantha different from garden variety banthas? Anything special?
Appreciate any info.
1) Varactyl - an upgraded version of the pre-order one
2) Bolotaur - the other big lizard - slightly larger than the Varactyl
3) Kashyyyk Bantha - a less-shaggy bantha with different horns - no better IMHO than the Tat version
Also, the Kashyyyk bantha is as ugly as a hat full of @ssholes.... the tat one is cute

When I did the Geo Cave, it was bugged. There were at least 20 Enhanced Kwi standing in that hallway. I tried burst running through, but as soon as I got within 5m of all those Kwi, I got an instant DB. Tried it with my Smuggler thinking I could just burst run and Feign Death when I got there. Never had a chance to Feign as I was getting killed in one hit. Took my CH in there and got through it easily. Basically, I just ran down through the Geos in the first room. Keep running until you get close to the hall with the Kwis, and let the Geos incap you. They won't DB, and after they incap, they all turn around and run back to their room, leaving you alone.
After the incap, I sat and healed up, then called out one of my pets. Think I called a graul - but any decent pet should work. Tab around until you target one of the Kwis, and send your pet in to attack, then burst run behind it...basically sacrificing your pet to take all the agro. Ran right through as all the Kwi went after my Graul. Got into the room and grabbed my Bolotaur no problem. Ran back out to the Kwi for the DB and a quick trip back to the starport.
Haven't tried it since then - so maybe they finally fixed the Kwi bug, and none of that is neccessary anymore.
