Thread: Have I missed somthing reguarding the number of non CH pets?
They are not really two extra slots.
Non-CH still only have TWO slots for critter pets. The RotW new critters CAN be tamed from deeds and made callable, BUT...
If you trade them away to a CH for full training, you have to have at least one of the two slots free. You could, as a non CH, in theory have five pets (two preexisting pre RotW pets, then tame a level 10 varactyl, a level 10 Kash bantha, and a level 10 bolotaur) but those last three will have no commands trained, only the saddle on them, because you can't give them to a CH for training and get them back. Your "free" critter slot POOFS the instant you trade it off your datapad for training.
It is a very bad joke on every last player. In theory, an MCH could have 26 pets under this system (add in the level 65 varactyl "Jagged Fang" quest reward) but that MCH would give up the ablity to train pets for others AND to tame any additional critters, because the MCH would have to get back down to 21 pets on the pad before one could be traded to the MCH for training or a critter in the wild could be tamed to.
