Thread: Conceal Shot, your pets & Hate

Just a little about my background, just so you know: I've been CH since day one. I finally respec'd from CH/TK/Medic to current (check sig). As wookiee, I thought it'd be more fun/accurate to go with rifles to complement MCH. So here's what I'm trying to figure out, as my knowledge of Rifleman is kinda limited. It's kind of hard to tell what's going on. Here's my usual approach:
1) Drop back from mob at max range (60m atm) and /prone; /cover
2) Send in pets
3) When pets reach 30m, /concealShot a few times (slowly and carefully)
4) If/When I'm discovered, I spam BH and Rifle specials until the mob drops.
It's worked pretty well solo (on weaker mobs) and groups. Rifleman grab hate fairly easy, as most of you well know. While firing off /concealShot, it's obvious that you've got the majority of the hate; you can see that as he charges toward your positionabout 15m a shot. My question is this. Once he gives up looking for you after every shot, does the hate reset? Does the hate transfer to your pets while they're noshing on it?

Nope, the hate doesn't reset. If your conceal shots outdamage your pet (and they will unless you take it veeeery slow), your target will make a beeline right in your direction, whether you are supposed to be invisible or not. Ideally, the devs would make it so that conceal shots don't add to hate at all, and implement some sort of intelligent searching by the mob AI. That would make conceal shot good for working with pets or in groups.

Sighs. Im MCH/Rifles still with a bit of BH too. How on earth did you get cover to work, every time I go prone and try it it says something can see me and wont work.

You must be at least 25-30m away from any creatures, npcs, or other players to cover.

- Get 60M from your target
- Send in pets
- When pets get halfway to mark /conceal.
Works everytime unless a random spawn pops on top of you.

Vehicles too. You gotta be out of range of your (and anyone else's) vehicles.

Yes the Hate system is very annoying and set to high in my opinion.
I too am MCH/Mrifle and I can hunt most mobs until I get up around my level of 80 and above. Have to be very careful then. Kashyyyk is the worst. Cannot hardly damage level 80 and above no matter what I try there. SUX!!!
