I got bored of my MBH/MCM (the uberness was getting to my head
).. I dropped some CM and mastered CH last week. I have to say I have not had that much fun in a long time.
The combination is working out great for me... I do my NPC mission runs, and stop for to pick up critters on the way. I managed to acquire some nice pets and abilities doing just that.(most of lvl1/2 so far)... You get paid, you get loot, you get pets... all in one trip

I have had sort of the opposite approach to the same template... I knew that I wanted to keep MCH and CM4000, and I determined that the only combat profession that I could master with my remaining skillpoints was BH. I've been playing since a few days after launch, but I had managed to avoid ever trying Bounty Hunter. Now I really enjoy the combo! BH seems like a good mixed bag of ranged special abilities, defense, and offense, I can add extra damage/states/etc. with pets, and I can heal myself, my pets, and group members with my CM abilities.
I also had a reasonably enjoyable time with investigation, bounty missions are good for a change of pace and a solo challenge. I've not hunted any jedi, and don't particularly plan to. But, I have had some friendly duels with jedi guildmates, and I do pretty surprisingly well considering that I think of this as a PvE template, and I don't use foods etc. to boost PvP performance.

Sounds like a good template that is a lot of fun. I may have to think about giving up Rifleman!!
I actually have Novice BH but it was just to throw my leftover SP's into. With all the loot drops for BH and bigger boss mobs etc I might give it a try. I have always liked the combos that BH has.
