If I found and tamed a cl70 creature that had for example thickskin 3 already pre learned when i fully matured the creature would the pre learned ability use up some of the total training slots available or not?
Also if i teach a pet for example knockdown 1 & 2 do these abilities stack into 1 training slot or 2?
New to CH but getting there slowly.

From the carrion spat I had which had intimidate 1, it unlocked four more slots for me for a total of five. So I'm assuming innates don't count

If you tame a creature and it has an ability it doesn't count towards the ability slots the pet will unlock.
As for training a pet a L1 & L2 version of an ability, it will take multiple slots, so for a L3 ability it will need 3 slots as they don't stack over the old L1 or L2 ability slots.

According to the stickies at the top of the board, a level 70 pet can have 7-9 slots.
