Since PATCH 23 cliams it will fix weapons and Elemental Damage will start working, where does that place us CHers?

Elemental Damage is enforced as a bonus since Kinetic/Energry are the main protection factors in the game.

Since pets stats are hidden from our view, we will never know the Elemental protection bonus of our pets. Or maybe their is no old school factor on pets anymore and our prime armor rating (which we can't see) pre-level is all we get?

At lease in pre-CU days we knew that assaulting an ancient dragon with COLD based damage would be best.

Now is Elemental Damage is going to be fixed to give players an edge in PvP/PvE with what ever choosen weapon is used, where does that place CHers?

Will certain pets/creatures have some formof base Elemental protection since our only offence is Kinetic based?

PATCH 23 may add more of a punch when players assault our pets now. For those that want to PvP with their companions, this will be a pain knowing your pets will now take some form of MORE damage from an attack.

Its bad enough that a level 70 pet that can inflict 500 max damage has to face a player wearing 7k+ kinetic protection with 200+ melee defence. And now that player using a good weapon will have Elemental Damage added to his punch!

My god...lightsabres with Elemental based damage. Will CH ever get a break?

For all this lame grinding we are all doing to make an elite pet, it seems we will always be more of a PvE class. I rolled xp on a pet 5 times already, almost 2 million xp and still no ability learned. Makes no sence...

I still say, what good will a level 70 enhanced pet do in PvP when I can watch elite professions during grind sessions, waste level 82 creatures without even sweating.

Instead of endless time wasting work and headaches...give us some real love SOE. The coffee is brewing...smell it? Wake up!

SPECIAL THANKS: Too SWGCREATURES.COM and that good CH people of the forums. You all provide great information and put SOE to shame with its lack of!

On the sidelines.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

That has always been exactly my take on CH after all the changes... it is predominantlya PvE profession. It is also more of a solo orientedprofession. The other professions that seem to be similar in this regard are ranger and bio-engineer. I don't think that this is an accident on SOE's part either. I pretty much consider my primary character (MBH/M Carbs) to be my PvP character and my alt (M Doc/CH) to be more for PvE fun. It seems that CH is allowed to PvP, but certainly not overly enticed by their core skills.

A Shear Mite Soldier has Thick Skin level 3 which has been noted to be 8k armor.

Are pets classified to have a generic innate protective ability like a TKA bases on pet level?

If so, does a SMS also have 8k protection verse Elemental attacks?

Makes no sense that SOE creates this game but can't provide real information for its paying customers. I feel like a lab rat everytime I log in to play.
