I am still working on CH so, I can say what is working for me. When I get time to play with my lovely little darlings, I go to Dantooine and do the Quenker missions. They give fairly good XP and there are always plenty of them around. Pikets are also pretty good missions and not overly hard to complete.
If you have aCH friend, ask them if they have a pet or two at your current level that arefully grown. This had better be a pretty good friend because, most CH's won't let you grind with there precious pets. The biggest thing in gaining the most CH xp is touse a pet that is at your current maximum level forpet handling. If you are a 1-1-1-1 CH, you need to be using a full-grown, CL20 pet for max xp.
Generally speaking, by the time your tame pets arefull grown for CL20 work, you have most likely completed a coupleof CH boxes and now you need a CL24 or higher.....lol.
Another thing that can help is having a Doc buff your pets secondaries or just get a full buff for them. If you do this, I think you have to keep your pet out and run on the ground with them. If you store the pet after buffing, it makes the pet's buff go away. I haven't tried this personnally but, it may help. If it works this way, then you will be running around on foot alot and killing anything that crosses your path which could also be a good way to get XP.
Anyway, if any of theolder handswould like to expound on their successful methods for climbing the CH tree, I would enjoy hearing them as well.

Another way is to go to the Geo Caves on Yavin 4. There are usually folks there killing the critters like crazy. I usually just ask if my pet can attack and keep clear myself when I can. Send the pet in, have it help attack, then another critter spawns, do same. Just have plenty of pet stims on you. The xp really just flies by. Also too I tend to try and tame every baby I see and teach it commands then release it when I have no intention of keeping the baby.

That depends on what other skills you have.
Me I take on the biggest badest creature I can, 1st pop a few head shot's into it, then send in snax to get agro, while I finish it off with a few more head shots.

Geo caves.
Send a low level pet in for ONE hit, then pull it back. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Geo caves, I have a good guide in here if you're new, or if you're not.

actually, using the highest lvl pet you can gives you much less xp then using a low level pet. i use a desert squill for getting xp fast and my prowling gurreck for fun. with the squill i get 400ch xp from a picket plains walker, with the gurreck i get 270 i believe. it's best to use the weakest pet you can get away with, some people even use baby rills to get massive amounts of xp.

1) the geo caves ESPECIALY if you have a pet with ranged attack (get an MCH to train it for you) that way you can save on a lot of pet stims, cu pa are good for this.
2) rancors, just make sure that you have something to tank for the pet. other wise the low end ones will get eaten up real quick!

remember that live event on corbantis? on dant imperial outpost we had 150k ham rebs attacking, if my dewback got one hit at one, it was 2000xp. Pretty sweet until the obvious lag began to own me hard and he died, as did i. still must have made over 20k xp in half an hour.

Here's a trick. Find a pet with in your level that you can use. Goto www.swgcreatures.com and find out where it is. Use those WP as a referance, then track it down. Use a pet with you while you are hunting down a baby and use it to kill everything in site. Also, tame every baby you find that you can tame. Won't regret it and will have fun too.
