Hi folks, i found out the other day that if u give a non ch a pet that is lvl 11-15, eg a kaadu, they can go and exchange it with a creature handler trainer and get themselves a nerfed kaadu they can use. i gave someone a lvl 11 cu pa but they got a kwi instead. and kaadus are a lot easier to find than a carrion spat which i went out looking for so my bf could get a mount when i could easily have given him a kaadu i already owned. just some food for thought in case any of u want to give friends mounts.

Actually, that's how it works in theory. If they put in a Kaadu, they will probably get something simular but lower level. Probably a spat, dont' know, but it does not make "nerfed" animals anymore.

Shenny are you saying that is confirmed a Kaadu for Kaadu? For the most part if you put in PetA you get a totally different PetB back.

it is confirmed, my friend exchanged a 1300 ham kaadu for one that had about 300. this is what i meant when i said he got a nrefed kaadu back. i also pointed out that he got a different animal for the cu pa exchange so for some animals u might get the same, and for others not.

ya, on my chilastra character i turned in my peko peko and got a vynock back

i thought they took out the pet-trade in thing?
at least, that's what my friend told me...but he can be pretty blasted unreliable....

Gettingthe trade-in systemremoved is issue #30 on our Issue/Request List.
It was originally put in place so non-CHs would be able to keep control of their pets when the non-CH calling limit was lowered from CL 15 to CL 10. That's why the trainer won't trade pets if he detects that you have CH skills.
That was such a long time ago, though, that this feature has outlived its usefulness. All it does now is create confusion.

fom,r my understnading of the trade in system you get a wild version of whaever you trad ein if onea available so a kaadu woudl resutl in a motley kaadu (extinct but they do still exist int he widl jsut no longer tamable) cu-pas dont have a low enough cl version for the non-ch so youd get something else in its place (possibly a random pet with the same bodyplan) likeiwse the pekko peko mentioned there is no cl10 or lwoer variant so you got a differnet winged crittere which had a cl10 or lower variant

but luckily i had a guild leader who would do really long guild mails with none, so i understood that very well lol.i understand the system now hehe thx
