Thread: How to save my rare/super bio pets from MCH to Jedi ?

I am almost at Jedi Initiate which means I will soon have to drop MCH

Naturally the new char slot will be used to remake my MCH which I liked so much

Does anyone know a way of saving my pets or storing them for my new char to use once it makes MCH ?

Surely it isn't a case of having to delete them or finding 10 MCH's with spare pet storage spaces to hold them whilst I build up to MCH ? cos thats just plain stupid (or SWG).

Any ideas would be helpful as I really don't want to lose pets I've collected and can't get rid of.

I've been a MCH for over a year now and I recently became a Jedi Padawan. You have plenty of time to level your 2nd character slot to MCH because once you become Jedi it will take months before you are forced to give up MCH. It's amazingly hard to level Jedi with BH's hunting you down so you won't have to forfeit skill points for a long time. My Jedi character is still a MCH and a master rifleman. After you make MCH on your 2nd character slot you can transfer your pets directly. All you have to do is teach your pets the transfer command. You can log out on your 2nd character slot and instantly log into your Jedi account. You'll see your 2nd character in an LD state. You can then simply transfer your pets. I've done this and I always buff my Jedi with my 2nd character who's a master Doc. Only thing you can't do is trade or teach your other character skills because that requires some button pushing on the other end.

ummm, didn't they nerf the FS slots?? I thought you just got to keep your main character, not start a new one

Heck Yeah!

Nope, once you get Padawan, it opens a second character slot. It isn't a Jedi slot any more. Now it is just a second character that you can build any way you want.

You can retain all your pets, you just won't be able to call the higher level ones once you've dropped the boxes, nor will you be able to tame any new ones if you don't vacate the four slots you have at MCH. The pets will patiently sit there on your datapad until you can transfer them to the second character, or you elect to drop some other skill and regrind back to MCH while holding on to your Jedi skills. My understanding, though, is the 24 SP required to hit initiate and then unlock the second slot are, like a starter profession prerequisite, unavailable to you.

I'm in the process of regrinding back to MCH after succumbing to holo madness, and old friends have been rejoining me in the world as I regain calling ability by retraining boxes.

Cool stuff Ignazkrebs. Looks like I'll be holding onto MCH a little longer than I thought and doing some transferring amongst myself !
