CREATURE HANDLER

One section:
"Creature Handlers are renowned for their kinship with their creature companions, and for good reason. This kinship, developed since the creature was a newborn, is built on a mutual trust that requires both parties to tend for the other's welfare. Taken to the most extreme, this relationship has pets fighting to the death to protect their besieged masters. It is this relationship that has attracted the most peaceful and the most sadistic Creature Handlers in the galaxy."
Another section:
"Only as strong as the creatures that obey them, the highest aspiring Creature Handlers choose to invest time in creature taming, making it possible to control even the most vicious predators."

If your going to keep f'ing us, at lease buy me roses or take me out to dinner!

This is crazy...help CH...stop borking it even more. Make us the Tank-Hunters were suppose to be or completely delete this class and let the entire CH community finally have piece of mind...PLEASE.

"Taken to the most extreme, this relationship has pets fighting to the death to protect their besieged masters."

This sentence almost makes me get misty eyed... I had this exact thing happen once. I was on Dathomir, and had a very nice BE'ed level 28 gurrcat out, named Slash. He had nice kinetic resists, and he was helping me hunt rancors. I was looking for one to tame, but Slash was out in the mean time. Well, I got caught by a Nightsister random spawn... the Rancor was in the way (not her pet, btw, lol) and I didn't see her at first. After it died, I'm still taking massive damage, so I look around, and there's a NS whacking on me. So I started to fight her but it was kind of too late. I gave Slash the "kill" order, and then went down. While I was on my back waiting to regain consciousness, faithful Slash stood over my prone form and defended against her, preventing her from getting in the deathblow. I regained consciousness, and immediately stimmed myself, and just as I did that, Slash went down. She was hurt enough by then that I took her out.

My pet saved my sorry arse that night, and there was always a place in my heart for him. Then the CU hit, and I converted him, and he turned out horrible. After a while, with much sadness, I deleted the little guy. But I will always remember him standing over me defending me against a friggin' NightSister.

Hard to imagine a level 28 pet saving my hash from a NS now, I have to say. Or even a level 70...

Call me cynical but the developers will never wake up, never read this, and never care. Simply put, we are not Jedi and we are not Bountyhunters. Those two groups are the bread and butter of this game. One group bought the game to become a Jedi specifically. The other group bought the game to hunt Jedi. That is where the money lies. It does not lie with CH or Chef or Tailor or Entertainer.

Ask yourself, if CH were removed from the game who would be impacted? One group, the bio-engineers.Mount owners would (or already have) convert over to vehicles. Pet owners would buy droids (if they haven't already). Boom, no more CH. It's that simple.

So do you think the developers really care?

The DEV's have proven over and over that they don't care about CH and what's more they are also inept and incompetent, just look at the current state of our proff as well as Tailor, Smuggler, BE, Entertainer (after BF removal) etc etc etc

The message from SOE since the CU came out has been quite clear and just in case you were dense they kept throwing respecs at us - change to a combat prof or be left behind. They want us to take a hike it seems. They've already put all non-combat profs on the Titantic it just remains for us to find a new ship.

This is just so stupid. I respecced my Master Pistoleer to MBH and kept my beloved MCH. But for me this could be the final straw. I play solo all the time (yes, I know its an MMO) but to me my pets are my group members, I actually felt like they were useful again when I could draw a mob from its lair, but now thats going, there is not a lot left.

This is yet another patch for BH's and Jedi. I know I am a MBH from the respec but I only did this cause I play solo and it was a lot stronger than my master pistoleer.

This is EXACTLY THE SAME THING I did, Tonedus. I was a Master Pistoleer and respec'd to MBH also. GMTA. But there isn't a lot left, and as much as I appreciate all the positivity in this forum still, I cannot be positive anymore. They have gotten the best of me. /sigh

I wouldn't suggest they take away CH and leave us with nothing. Because nothing is how I would feel about staying in swg. I have been MCH for nearly 2 years - my heart and soul is in it, and I would then be left with nothing much to play the game for. Nor would my alt. Seems I could move to wow and get a pet and a horse - but it would never be the same. This is (was) a great game and I still hear the noobs in Eisley thoroughly enjoying all the aspects of the crafting and other non-combat professions. This is what made swg great - the wonderful diversity. Take that away (as they are doing) there is no SWG left - just a basic pvp game.

no no ... you did not delete the little guy ... you destroyed his controller and released him back into the wild where, because of his CH trainer and training, he made out like a bandit!!!! Toughest little guy on the block ... nobody messes with the little guy now!!!
