Thread: Is Pet Food worthwhile?

I am a fairly new Chef (After a loooong stint as a BE), and I was wondering whether Pet food is worth making. I don't see very much of it in stock for other Chefs, and was wondering if that is because of an untapped market, or if it's just plain useless.

Any advice would be appreciated...particularly if you are on Chimaera, as that is where my market would be.

There's pet food? Why the hell can't we give our pets buffs then?!?

Since CU hit live I have not been able to get my pets to "eat" except on very rare occassions. Pre-CU pets appear to eat once in a great while and these times seem to be only if they have been incapped and you died. My Post-CU pets always return the "your pet is not hungry" message.

I have a bunch of sweesenberry rolls I give my pets for buffs, they still increase their Health by 800 or something like that. You don't feed it to them from the radial, you have to drag it from your inventory window on top of them, like you do when you turn in those factional imp or reb plans to the recruiters. Then the pet says "Yummy!" and has the buff for a little while. It's worthwhile if you don't spend a ton of money on the food.

i use pet food all the time, well when i can find it, ive only been able to find the paste bread and that is rare. but if some one would make it moroe often 1 would buy it by the create..

if you are having problems feeding you pet you might be using your radial menu this gets u a pet is not hungry.

what you need to do is to pull the food out of you inventory and drop it on your pet this will apply the buffs.

chef it would also be nice if more chefs made mask sent food and taming food those are also hard to find on my server

As an Ex BE I know how hard it is to get hold of Jawa Beer (Mask Scent Buff), I used to have to order it rather than pop along to my favouite vendor.

It looks like it may be worthwhile making some foods specifically for CHs, however I will probably only stock small amounts.

Thanks for the help

well, since CH is useless now, Its best to make the pet food useful. If your pets don't eat it, throw it at your enemy in battle, maybe youll get lucky and the enemy will be hungry and eat the food, so you have a chance to exploit and defeat your enemy.
