Yeah go ahead and one star this, I know some of you guys can't stand people who are just in need of info. There is no holo sticky and multiple searches turned up nothing.

I was a CH back in the day, actually made it to 3/3/2/3 before I end up giving it up when the holos were released and I decided I just had to have a jedi. Around 20 professions later i'm working on CH again. With the exp I held on to all this time i'm nearly 0/2/0/0, but I have some questions:

1. What is a good "grind" pet? When I was a CH the exp was based on the level of your pet vs. the level of the enemy. Exp was awarded in full if the pet was involved in the fight, damage was irrelivant. The current pets i'm using are two BE pets that I alternate, they are both high knetic resist no armor 10k ham pets (yeah lower those lvl ones, cl9 and cl10) that were available from a vendor and couldn't resist buying, although they dont seem to cut it with the higher end enemies, and i'm thinking the reason is that I need to get something with some armor.

2. What enemies should I grind on? I've tried a few things on dantooine but invariably I seem to get 100-225 exp per kill, regardless of what i'm fighting. I'm not a high level combat character myself (just starting in on fencer, currently 0/0/1/0) so I cant call in my pets against kryats or anything. Should I be focusing on lower level eneimes for quicker exp, or should I be going after rancors or similar enemies in groups for lump sums?

3. Has taming changed much? When I finally finish the profession I intnend on spending some time hunting rare pets for fun. Back when I was a CH the first time I remember this was the most exciting part of the game for me.

With the coming of power of Be's and the balancing of wild creatures it's hard to say whats good to start with. Be pets are undoubtedly king now. cupa's and rock beetles are still good starters on tant, but a good Be pet will be a big help. If you can get into a high power hunting group great, all it takes is one hit from pet and the pet being ALIVE at the end of the battle to receive full points. An alternative is getting a low lv pet and taking out yard trash around one of the cities, mos esily (spelling) is a good place for this. attack with pet and finish beast off with weapon of choice, or if pet is pretty week you may want to take agro then attack with pet.lower xp's but with ease of kill and spawn rate it goes fast. Once you get a few commands under your belt try hooking up with a novice be and taming there grind pets 100 + points a command so that can really move things along.

well first off, (my opinion, so don't start ranting about CH vs BE) F*u*c*k BE pets. untill i am able to tame any pet i want, i will never use one. i don't believe that as a Master Creature Handler, I should have to buy powerful pets.

now back to the topic. use a crystal snake, and get in groups on dantooine hunting voritor hunters. 840 xp per kill. its gets boring sometimes, but if you don't think about it, it does go kinda fast.

Personaly I only use BE pets in combat now except for a few rair ocasions (namely I want an AE special) because BE'd pets generaly have a much higher survivability for their CL.A BE can push light armor and decent kenetic resists down into the low 20's for CL if they sacrifice almost everything else. these pets wont kill a thing on their own but they can take a beating and are quite good for grinding once you can use one. be prepared to shell out cash though as these tend to be very hard for the BE to make. and as far as the whole BE vs CH argument I'v got the best of both worlds. I have a second account thats a BE so I can just make my own pets. I'd rather make use of what I can get instead of punishing myself in pointless protest of a nerf too far.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead
