Thread: Enraged rancors
1 pet out would have given you 1900 xp. 2 pets -950. 3 pets - 633
At least, thats how I understand the mechanics of how xp is divided between your pets.
It seems as if there are 2 factors at work here
1. The total xp is divided by the number of creatures used. This was to nerf the multiple creatures = multiple max xp thing.
2. The relative challenge level of your pet verses the creature. You will get next to nothing by sicking a CL50 on yard trash like lesser womp rats, but you will get a lot by sicking yard trash on CL50's. Of course the latter gets one-shot.
Seeing that there is a cap on armor at CL30 or higher, you are probably better off with say a couple armored CL35's taking on your CL80 enraged rancor than you are with a single CL70 since the challenge would be more. You would get even more I think were you to just use a single CL35 against the CL80. My experience is these lower level pets have a lower hit rate and have trouble holding agg on these creatures.

There is a 'sweet spot' in the difference between levels. If you use too small a pet, you actually get less xp than were you to use a higher level one. With enraged rancors being CL 85 (or there abouts), you can probably use some of the highest CL pets and still get better xp than your CL 21 ones.
I remember like 2 months ago I would sick my GSP against a rancor and rack up 4k xp per kill. What happened hear...the devs should just eleminate the ch profession all together at this rate. However Im grinding thru it now1/1/1/2 and im so angry. I am using a cl13 kwi and getting only 1001xp per enraged. How are you guys getting 1300 using a cl14? does one level really make 300xp difference?
