Thread: Another nerf to CH?

With the revamp to tatooine quests, i decided to go hunt down NPCs and run quests for them. Started in Mos Eisley and only found one non-imperial mission giver, Kavas Urdano in the Lucky Despot. When i tried to talk to her, she said that that her task "seemed beyond my capabilities". I pull out my FGW5 (Pistols 4), same thing. I go outside, call a rancor (Master CH)and group him, same thing. A minute later, another player dressed in full composite and wielding a flamethrower comes up to her and takes the quest just fine. Are CHs to be prevented from running these missions because we can't equip our pets? Has anyone else tried this mission or been denied any other due to skill level? I know this was mentioned in the patch notes somewhere, but i assumed the NPCs would only give suggestions, not gate the player entirely. Then again, with the current state of CH, Kavas could have been right

haven't tried it myself but a couple theories...
1. you are in a cantina, it might be an entertainer mission thing...
2. it could be that its part of a bigger quest and you haven't met the prerequisets for it yet...
3. SOE hate CH's so they excluding them from any kind of content in the game (my fav theory 
)

The highest missions I can get as a MCH with Pistoleer 0/0/4/2 and a FWG with 190 odd damage and with a CL 69 Kimogila with 13k HAM, and near 600 damage is 15k missions on Dantooine.
On Dathomir I can't get missions over 12k. And yet I hear of people getting 20k missions with their pets out. *shrug* Must be because they are Hybrid's, cause it aintMCH that can get them.
It's probably the same issue with your quest giver...

20k missions on dath for me as MCH (with cl 70 pets), MRifle with T-21, and an R2 droid grouped with me... 18k missions without the droid...

just tried it out... the message i got was: "Who are you? You look crafty enough, but i've never heard of you. Come back when you've earned a reputation."
i'm MRifle/MCH so it should have nothing to do with the lvl of combat skills... like i said before its probably a profession specific quest (smuggler, i'd guess)
if you want a npc quest that more along the line of scout/hunter things goto espa, find a guy names Mat forget the last name... he has not title, just the name... run his missions, you get a cool reward (i think its cool at least)... if you can't find him let me know i'll geta WP for ya...

no where did the devs say that everyone will have a equal shot at all content. 
i dont think it is a CH specific thing and there is probably something more invovled than simple skillsets.

There's the part that's holding you back in missions. If you were master pistol you'd get higher level missions.

It does become more and more clear that they find us repugnant... or wish for us to be a little "toy" class and go away quietly.
We will go away... but not quietly.
And you can't have our stuff.

Um.... vehicles vs mounts, tamed pets vs BE pets,.... they already HAVE our stuff. lol

That's a possibilty. I do have smuggler skills (0341), so it makes sense. Has anyone else tried this quest with or without smuggler skills? I'll go post over on the smuggler forums to see if anyone there knows. The mission appear to be part of a string for Lady Valarian, so smuggler would make sense.+

Hmm. Actually, she might mean your faction standing was too low when she said reputation. My valarian standing was +5000 from doing COA misions. Any idea what yours was?
