Thread: Which Tree to go up first and so on?

I have always thought that CH was the coolest profession in the game, I almost had it mastered(tons of xp banked) but ultimatly had to drop it for BH and etc,etc. Well now with the combat balance I am hoping that my favorite profession will be here again. I was wondering what do I train in first, second, third, and fourth. 0x00, then x000, or what? Thanks for the help as I have been reading through all the faqs and standard posts and could not find the answer.

hmm truthfully I think there is no best way to climb the tree.


It has been changed and since doing so seems more of "what you want first" type of tree lol


I just recently started another char and am grinding ch


since storage, tricks and taming are things that needed to grind happily and easily I would advise going for individual boxes instead of trees.


for example;


I went in this order.


0/1/0/0 >1/1/0/0 > 1/1/1/0 > 1/2/1/0 > 1/2/1/1 > 2/2/1/1 > 2/2/1/4


the last box i grinded up to 4 for mount training


I chose specific commands and abililties to assist my grind however the tame box is needed for agressive pets and is cool for taming also most 3rd lvl boxes are best for storage. one last note commands taught are xp so boxes with patroll and formations are good for tame-grinding.


as you will see its kind of a personal choice thing now with no best way.

i always tell people that the training tree is most usefull, as it gives more commands and most importantly give you more storage space...having more space allows you to rotate pets for grinding xp

Yeah, I'd go for Training andthe storage first, because you'll be able to command a wide variety of pets and you can rotate them.

Personaly, i always advise new CH to get the enrtire bottow tier first, then work up taming and training at the same time, follow by creature managment and finaly creature empathy. i also always advie that they keep at least one space empty in their datapad so that they can tame/train/release pets for quick xp too.

hmm, when I did CH I did it this way. Buy a set of BE clothes giving +25 tame wild/vicious, they equal tier 2 and 3 of the taming tree in chance of taming a creature, and yes I was taming vicious creatures with only taming 1. Get the entire bottom row for the basic commands. Worked up to manage 3 for getting ability to call 2 pets, so I don't have to put away my current one just to tame. Then training tree for the storage and extra commands. More commands equals more xp from every tamed pet. Then it was managemnt 4, rest of taming and last was empathy.

Not sure if this is the "best" way, but it worked great for me.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. Your answers brought on another question. lol
Did everyone get the xp buy taming and training or did you use them in combat or a little of both? From what I see seems alot of tame and release and I thought most of my xp would come from combat.

for me it was probably 60% combat 40% tame/train lol combat gets old sometimes and looking for didfferent creatures was always a pleasant distraction. while I was wandering the planets I would tame any baby I saw and keeping those that I liked.
