if the perks of the creature handling profession were as they should be this wouldn't be such a big deal... but right now the publicsees the biggest benefit of being a creature handler to be its ability to get a high level solo-group... i'm not a fan of this view, but as there are many creature handlers now that are devoting the skill points simply for this feature, this exploit needs to get "fixed"...
there is a way to max out mission levelsby groupingthat involves only onepet (even nonCH pets)... i don't want to spread the exploit, but i'll be happy to PM you Vertexon if you need more info...
odds are, if you've seen a low-level pet grouped with someone at a mission terminal, they have been using this exploit... typically, a nonCH pet alone will bring down a combat master's CL - lowering the reward from the mission... that is how i came across the exploit...
if this is old news, i'm sorry... i'm an old timey CH and i haven't been keeping up with the forums as of late...

No utilisation of the dirty "cry_exploit" tactic shall be tolerated.
So finally CH have some use in the game and people wanna cry foul.
Now on the other hand, the part about using the non CH pets, thats very foul and should be closed (but on the other hand that would mean nerfing the BE uber lvl 10 creating machine and they would then cry foul!)
TO be clear :
I am 100% for CH getting the benefit of a full solo group. The time invested in the proffession makes it worth it.
I am 100% against the using of BE lvl 10 pets to achieve the same goal.

woah, there... i'm not saying it's not right that CHs get the big group... that's all fine and dandy, really...
the exploit is using a nonCH pet to max out your group CL... basically getting the "benefit" of a CH without investing the skill points...
i say benefit with the sarcastic quotes because i think that's a bum rap, i think there should be more to CH than that... the benefit of CH to me is the pets...
i'm on your side, man...

you guys don't seem to be getting it...
this is an exploit of the group system... it involves using macroed commandsinrapid successionto trick the group system into thinking you have more pets than you can possibly have... it has nothing to do with the quality of the pet... really the only thing it has to do with CH is that ya'll are the ones getting hosed by it... i figured you guys would like to know about it...
you guys must have had a lot of folks coming in here being rude to get you this defensive... i would have hoped for a warmer welcome to someone who's trying to help you out...
i apologize for bringing it up here, i should have taken it directly to Vertexon or perhaps an In-Live bug thread....

I read your last post and I agree we ch do not understand this "macroing group exploit"
the word nerf is a bad four letter word here lol we have been batted by the nerf bat more than most professions lol
I would like to know more about this exploit
(no not to use I'm a MCH and have no need of exploits lol)
If you do not want to post the details for fear of spreading it throughout the galaxy I understand. Please PM me with details and I shall do my best to support you if I agree with it.

Wow I must say that all of you really REALLY need to go back and carefully re read is posts. HE IS NOT CRYING NERF!!!! Hes saying that CH's grouping with pets is all fine and dandy but non-chs using a macro to trick the system into thinking that have like 20 cl 10 pets grouped with them to get higher missions neends to be fixed.

I've never heard of this exploit but it sounds like if you spam group a trillion timein a row in fast sucession you trick the system into thinking you grouped with 20 animals. Again, I don't know if the mechanics are correct but the end product is that you've grouped with the same animal so many times you max out your CL and get higher missions.
I believe you should thank the original poster for bringing this up instead of ripping his head off for something he didn't do.
I also agree the uber CL10 tanks should go away but I don't see that happening soon. They exists because the stat combinations (multiple vulnerabilities) and HAM recognize the animal as lower than it really is. The coding would have to be re-written and could, in the end, effect your wild animals as well. Always be careful what you wish for. You may get it.

I was under the impression that this was a known exploit and had been fixed.I seem to remember reading aboutit quite some time ago. And, yes, re-read Kiryoku's post carefully - he's speaking only of the exploit. I've never bothered trying to figure out how it works, but the way I understand the exploit, like Kiyoku said, it has nothing to do with BE pets.
