Hi fellow CH 'ers,
I am close to mastering this profession and it is comfortably the most enjoyable. I find master TKA my support prof. I have levelled CH during the FS grind as a nice bonus to the hours of killing stuff. I always wanted to do CH but never tried before.
As I get closer to unlocking the Jedi I am looking very seriously at the possibility of playing a Jedi/CH. I am sure skill point wise this is entirely achievable and am aware of the deficiencies of my Jedi future with CH swallowing up the 100+ skill points that it does.
So really I'd like to know if anyone currently plays as a Jedi CH - ie still enjoying their creatures with a low level Jedi or if this is a thoroughly fruitless existence,
Thx

It completely depends on what your goals are in this game ofcourse .... if you want to be a PvP jedi .... then forget about CH ![]()
One of my guildies unlocked his second char last week, but has no intention on becoming jedi, he prefers to stay MCH......
A good person to ask would be Milteck (enigma_writer) ..... he is the only Jeci/CHI know ....

Greetings
I am a master ch jedi and love it. If you love being a creature handler and enjoy hunting with your pet companions then it is the ultimate template because master saber with master ch is a nice combo.
The only draw back is the skill points it takes meaning in pvp u need to be in a group of other jedi or players. I will bump up my post that discuss guidelines i created for BEAST members who wish to follow the path I have taken

My understanding is you cannot drop the 24 points in FS skills.......What about Padawan? does it cost any more points to achieve Padawan and unlock the secound slot? I am about to start the FS quests but I am not sure about Jedi I would like to try it but then again a MCH/Mcarb may actually be a viable combo post CU. Also I have no interest in PVP at all so that will not be an issue.

FYI. If you become Jedi and plan on using it then you will be forced into pvp one way or another. A BH will get your mission and you will be hunted.

This is true and I will deal with that when it happens. hopefully by that time when the BH comes he will have to think twice before attacking a Jedi who is hanging out with a Rancor or 3 cats 2 of which con red to him..........

Since pets no longer suffer the 75% damage reduction in PvP and most BHs try to take on Jedi without armor youll find that your pets will do a signifigant ammount of damage to him. Espically if you use pets to stack poisons

MCH/Jedi here and loving it, but I am constantly thinking of how to make a viable MCH/Jedi template. Just uses up so many points it leaves little to grow as a Jedi. I have decided that my alt will also be a MCH just in case I decide to go full blow with my Jedi skills. Either way I will continue to be a MCH on 1 or both of my toons. I have loved the profession from the 1st day I trained that novice box.

From what I understand, after you do the Force Sensitive exit quest (killing Mellichae), you are a Jedi Initiate. You then do eight quests to become a Jedi Padawan. And it's at that point (becoming a Padawan) that you unlock your second character. So technically, you don't have to obtain any other skills to unlock your second character; just complete your Padawan quests. However, the skill-point requirements for any of the Jedi skills are steep, especially at the lower levels. For my part, I'm going to hang onto as much of CH as I can until I unlock my second toon, then grind that toon as rapidly as I can to build him up to the point where I can trade my pets to him so I can have a Jedi and a Master CH.

MCH/jedi with 0sp left... for now.
I didn't go Milteck's route of master saber, as I felt it gimped me far too much in other areas as a jedi.
Currently, I am:
MCH
4xx4 healing
xxx2 enhancement
xx44 sabers
This alows me to heal poison, disease, andbleeding from myself and my pets; heal my own states; and heal myself for up to 1500 health/action/mind damage in one shot. I can kill a group of arachne queens and widows with a pet tanking in about 30 -45 seconds using area attacks. I can also channel force to bump my force bar should it ever get drained.
This is fantastic PvE setup, in my opinion. The extra damage and defense from master sabers would have been nice, but I already kill far more efficiently and faster as just xx44 sabers than I did as TKM.
The only problem is, it's a SOLO PvE template. If you want to hunt PvE with friends, you'll get on the boards, and you'll be dead soon thereafter. xx44 just isn't enough to kill any intelligent TKM / investigation 3 BH.
If I could hunt with friends without getting visibility, I'd keep this template (although swap out polearm for 1 or 2 handed as I prefer them). However, I can't, so I've been struggling with the idea of having to give up MCH in order to be a viable forced PvP combatant and therefore be free to do whatever I want with friends whenever I want.
In the meantime, I'm making my doc alt a CH; and depending on the CURB changes, I may swap my 250sp combat / crystal hunter alt to CH as well. I'm still grinding out jedi xp, but I won't make a final decision on dropping MCH until I'm forced to- i.e. I cap jedi xp or the CURB hits (whichever comes first). Just 2 million jedi xp to go.
