Webmasters are great pets. Not rare though, uncommon maybe. They are rated 13th for Pet Usefulness on swg.creatures and personally I would rank them higher than that.

I actually have 2 webmasters that I alternate out when my Widow takes a beating. They are pretty good pets.

How do they compare to a TMB? I have 2 which I use all the time and I really like them a lot....especially cuz I can also call my GSP with the TMB. Very rarely do I get into trouble with this combo.

The webmasters are CL50 pets. You couldn't call out anything else more than a low level mount with them. The widow itself is a CL58. Only very low level mounts with it.

The TMB is the better pet for sure - much better resists. It's only weakness is that it's vulnerable to energy. IMHO, the TMB might just be the best pet period. It doesn't have a DoT like the bull rancor or mantigrue screecher (and a couple of others), butthat's a minor thing as far as I'm concerned. I also like that you can use the boar wolf or grand wrixwith TMB which gives you an excellent 2 pet combo.

DaBudo2 yeah I've tried using my TMB with a GW but I like the GSP better, more damage and I think better resists and comes with posture down special. I'm not familiar with the boar wolf so, I'll have to check into that one.

Not sure about uncommon, or i was just lucky. Roaming Endor currently and came to a lair with some webmasters and warriors out. Ate some food buffs, pull my delirious Merek and my GSP out, killed 2 of the spiders and a baby popped out, left my pets with the last warrior and headed off to the baby. Tamed after the 5th try, mostly failiures because i got out of range. I am happy, looks awesome

Boar wolf has 50% kinetic resist, 9000 HAMand does 240-250 dmg which is why it's such a coveted pet. Every CH should have one

I think most people prefer the GSP to the GW because of its extra damage and better HAM. I still like the GW. It has much better resists, has only 2 vulnerabilities vs. 5 vulnerabilities for GSP (not counting lightsaber), and has 2 special attacks Knock Down & Stunning Strike. It's especially effective against NPCs. It's also my sentimental favorite because GW was the first "real" pet I had (still have it too)

ME TOO! Just can't seem to release that lil guy but I really haven't looked at him that often either. I kinda dismissed him as being not as effective as the GSP but perhaps I'll reevaluate that. Thanks for the info....will be nice to get Cruncher out again....I think he's getting a bit lonely anyways.

What made the GSP better than the GW originally was the fact that they had light armor and more HAM. Now I think it all depends on what you want as far as resists.

greater sludge panther never had lite armor. it had 8k ham, no armor and high kenetic. The Grand Wrix had lite armor, and about 5500 ham.
