there's a ramp that looks something like that, that determines how much exp you will get. you'll get less if the animal is super low in proportion to the target, more as it reaches the "ideal level", and less as it goes above thatideal level.
Aha! Thank you Digi! That explains why my CL 16 pair got less xp than my CL 24 pair...now to just figure out what "ideal level" means to the devs...
Edited for spelling, KFC grease on my fingers lol...

My Cowardly Gurreks are level 15, Razor cat is 21. I get anywhere from 800 to 1100 for using the gurreck to attack Grasslands marauders/raiders whatever.

If you're talking about a Grand Wrix, watch out for when their health gets down to around 30% and they run like a scared little girl.

Best pet I found was the Cowardly Gurreck and that includes BE's. 1200 per Crazed Geonosian and 1500 for enraged rancors!
Of course they are soft as butter so you need to look after them in battle but XP wise they are the best I could find.
I get the best xp using cowardly gurrecks as well. What I'll do is aggro the MOBs on my self and tell the gurreck to attack when a MOB is about to go down. Versus mobs that can do spin-type attacks, I'll tell the gurreck to stay at a distance and then bring it in when a MOB is about to go down.
Being a master fencer as well, I can hang in the middle of 7 or 8 high end aggro mobs with COB running and not worry about getting hit too much. Just sucks when the enemy has high kinetic and stun resistance.
