Thread: Best Combat skill to have with CH

I am sure this has been asked before but i can not find it.
Fist off I'm a Master arch/Master Artisan (dropping most ofartisan soon)
Since I like to run missions andneeded some combat skills I decided to take up CH far as i can. Right now I have level 4 pistols using the republic baster. My question is what is the best support skill to have. Pistol, Riffle, or carbine. I can only take this skill as far as level 4 without ranged support.

I like pistoleer. Mostly because it hits for Health damage, and I have found that most of the damage my pets do are Health damage as well, so Pistol seems to compliment that well.

Ive tried Carbines and Rifles but found pistoleer to be the best fit for me. You get the Health bleeds and Pistol whipping a rancor or sharnaff is a hoot as well. There are other professions that are more powerful but I personally like the Pistoleer as a Combat compliment to Creature Handler.

I am not saying that what I do is the best option for that Iam to new to the game.
The way I work is: I combine MCH with rifle and pole arm. I can give a good shot at a long distance. When the creatures starts to attack me I switch to my polearm and send in the pets. When my pets hold back the creature I switch to a spray stick and walk back to the ideal posion for my rifle again. As I say maybe not the best way but I like it a lot and with good macroing swithing between the weapons is no problem.
Btw with concealed shot I can take down cl 25 animals without being noticed. Baybe this also work out for the higher levels did not try that yet.

I'm a Blademaster and MCH. It's fun to go toe to toe with your pet(s) taking out the mobs.
