Thread: Novice CH questions?

Ok, just a few basic questions.

1). I was reading in another thread someone talking about specialized food to feed your pets. What kinds of regularfood should and shouldn't I feed my pets? Does it make a difference what species they are?

2). Is the an element I can add to a macro to automatically make any commands within the macro go to spatial only? Sometimes I forget what channel I'm in and accidently spam that channel with pet macros.

3). I'm currently using a wrix baby as my primary pet. What pet should I move to next? I've seen posts for 20+ and40+ but no pet's below 20.

As for regular food (when the pet is hungry) just get some bofa treat or something similar. Foraged stuff works fine too.
There is also Chef made food that enhances the HAM of pets. Best you ask a Chef about it. I think one was called biscuit something. Species doesn't make a difference.

Just use /tellpet

Banthas are nice if you don't want a BE pet. If you have BE clothing you can also get your hands on a Mottled Wrix (cl18).

I have clothes for taming wild and taming vicious creatures. Currently I'm wearing +85 to taming wild and +65 to taming vicious. I thought that meant taming? My "max level of pets" is 21. So given what I'm wearing and my max level of pets, whats the highest CL I can use? (I'm a wookiee also)

21 is the highest. BE clothing has nothing to do with the pet cl you're able to tame. The good thing of BE clothing is that you can tame vicious critters without having a box in the first tree. The higher the critter, the less chances to tame tho. +25 clothing let you tame the above mentioned mottled wrix for example.

Thanks. I've been feeding my pets Bofa Treats just because I can make them (Master Artisan). I was worried that they might not be the right food.

So I can tame stuff that I might not be able to control?

Just try not to feed them your expensive spice or enhanced foods. Put these in your backpack and leave the bofa treats in your inventory.

Straws, since it enhances your taming skill it grants you a higher chance of a successful tame, in other words.. taming becomes easier. The critter cl doesn't change tho. If you can tame and control a cl30 critter without clothing, then it's still the same without. Lowbie CHs have an advantage here since they will be able to tame and control aggro critters even with 0xxx skill as long as they have their BE clothes on.

So where do you get these handy clothes? I'll bet you have to pay a fortune for them.

I have payed about 80k total for my set. I've noticed, CH isnt really a money making profession.

Now that milk is abundant, Taming wild +25 / Taming vicious +25 clothing shouldn't be outrageously expensive. I picked up a pair of +25/+25 trousers for 10k on Eclipse.
