Greetings!

I have not been playing for long and purchased a Dewback to hopefully some day use as a mount. I bought it from a Bio-Engineer vendor as a baby. It has grown some and I am confused about the stats that I see. There are 3 catagories, Health, Action, and Mind. Each of the catagories has 2 different values next to them. I am guess that the first value on right next to the Atribute label is the current level, and the second value farther to the right is the max level for the attribute.

Will this max attribute increase as the creature grows or is this the value that it will be at when it is fully grown? The values are pretty low around 150. I was hoping these max stats would increase as the Dewback got larger.

The stats look something like this.

Health 100 (137)

Action 100 (137)

Mind 100 (150)

Is my Dewback poorly engineered?

If those stats are accurate, your poor dewback was horribly engineered. In fact, I think engineered is the wrong term entirely - perhaps 'stuck together with tape and bailing wire' would be more accurate.

The number in parentheses is the adult value. Your full grown dewback will have a health of 137, somewhat less than a chuba I think the BE that made it should be ashamed for making something so awful and hoping no-one would notice when buying.

ok, thanks for the info. Oh well, now I know. What would be good stats for a DewBack?

lordy that looks like it was made out of corelian butterfly drone DNA or something (you know the ones around the coronet SP) probably wasnt experimented on at all too. Most decent non CH pets will have somewhere between 2000 and 4000 on the full grown stats. what you got was probably somebody grinding BE on pets ( who knows why tisues are easier) and selling them so a CH could grind some XP with tame/train/release.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

my level 15 (i think)dewback has 5500HAM. He's also mounted. I bought him for 12k

Did you buy that dewback? or was it a gift? if it was a gift, then you had nothing to lose, except that you still have a crappy pet, lol. but if you paid for him, then you got really ripped off, no matter what the price was.

But hey, a pet is a pet, and they should all be treated the same.

A wild dewback is CL 19, 4500 HAM. A wildmountain dew is CL 21, 5500 HAM, IIRC.

Just for comparison's sake.

So, if I find a pet for sale that has beefy stats, and I am not a CH "yet" will I at least be able to have it follow me around if it is a high level?

Wow, this question is a minefield!

There are currently a lot of BE created creatures that have much beefier stats than wild critters, and come in at below CL 10. There is however no guarantee that these creatures will continue to be callable, as it's possible that the devs may decide that they're overpowered for their CL and disable them.

Bottom line is that if you're not a CH, you won't be able to call anything about CL 10.
