Thread: Remember the days........
*chuckle* i love remember whens.
The only sad part is that instead of retuning, they just nerfed the unholy crap out of the class. All they had to do was change around the boxes like they did (good job there) so that you HAD to get mastery to gain access to high level creatures.
THEN, simply make the creatures like the graul mauler level 50 or 60 and viola.... a class that still has a purpose. Providing armored tanks. Lower the pet damage (not that they do any) if you're unhappy with all the CHs running around. Even lowering the kinetic resists from 75 on ONE level 70 pet to about 60 would make a difference. Heck, I'd take a greater sludge panther (old version) as a level 50 pet at this point.
I guarantee people would have left the class if they HAD to be master in order to have access to one really good pet. And no, a rancor sucks. We want ONE level 70 pet with GOOD resists.
Instead, they made it so you had to be a master CH in order to call really crappy pets. But, it sure did clear the profession out. Only those who really love the creatures in the game are left. How many people actively post here? 20?
I remember when a post would be on page 3 in 30 minutes (Jedi anyone?).

Oh yes, I vowed to start including a positive post with every mindless rant I spew onto the boards. I still have to commend the devs for creating such a vibrant NPC interaction system that many people don't get a chance to experience fully. Just by accident the other day, I created abattle royale on Endor. I was working a Screecher nest like a sissy (i.e. shoot it and run away screaming) since I currently have no medical skills and really hate having one health and 799 wounds. Well, I was carefully leading them off into a vacant area so I could continue to work the nest (I checked it's emptiness ahead of time) and oops! There was a line of about 15 storm troopers just standing there. Sorry fellas!
Next thing I know, there was this absolutely stunning firefight, with white armor and screeching to beat the band. I just sat and watched and enjoyed.
Oh yes, the screechers won.
*curses the screechers*
Yeah, I remember the good days. Well, at least things have settled and I still think CH is one of the most powerful proffs out there.
I remember when being a ch was usefull and a huge blast. Man those were the days. A month or 2 ago I came back to ch. I am now a master. I was very sad when I checked back on bloodfin(Am now on shadowfire) on my kiknik defender and graul and other pets. They are so nerfed Ahh those good old days were great. Man a pet with something higher than light armor and good resists. Man if only I could rewind time.......
