Just a little something I put together for a Kettemoor contest... thought maybe some of you dedicated CHs might enjoy it... =)
Ode to Antonio
Antonio, my friend, my confidant, my partner, my protector, my companion…
Ever since the first day I saw you in Mos Taike, I knew, I knew, that I could count on you
To be there for me, and you always have been.
We’ve had some wonderful times together.
I remember.
Running side by side across the flowered glades of Naboo.
Encouraging one another as we scaled the Great Mountain of Lok.
Dancing together around the campfire under the moons of Corellia as the stars danced across the midnight sky.
And other times, perhaps not as good
Near death, you showed me that you held my life more precious than your own.
When I felt defeated, lost, but you stayed anyway.
When people ignored you, derided you, despised you.
Through all this, you never complained, and never asked for much in return.
Yet nothing I can do
Could ever make it up to you.
For the memories you’ve given me will be with me and mean more to me than the moments themselves.
For it is in remembering and reflecting that we can truly appreciate the moment.
I see the flash in your eye, the flash of your own memories.
Embers lit by the Talus sun.
Fanned to fire
Desire
Bright life in the winds of the plains
Burning
And so turning
I hold your face in my hands one last time,
And wipe away the tears that distort my view.
So that I always remember.
Never Forget.
I know you are happy
Perhaps more than ever before.
Remember me.
My Friend, my companion, my partner, my panther, my pet.
Remember me.

it remeinds me of when the riadial menu siad "release to wild" and not "destroy data"
or when release was a pet command

I was touched....and troubled also.
I'm gonna be releasing all of my pets soon, My heart breaks a little more every time one of my mighty cats or viscious canines gets smacked around by creatures that by all rights should flee in fear of them.
What is a measly rebal soldier to a Greater Sludge Panther, unfortunately, in the Devs wacked out world of their JTL agenda, a signed death certificate.
Becuase of my love for my pets...i will let them go.

I know it may seem silly, but I did have a lot of affection and affinity for my pets. I've been playing almost a year, from back when non-CHers could use a Cowardly Gurreck. Remember when you had to yell at your pets to follow you at boundaries? =D
Now it seems almost as if the devs are moving CH to extinction. SO what if we had uber pets, or could do BE and make our own incredibly powerful animals? Is that any different from the uber-weapons they allow in the game? In many ways, it seems much more noble to create a creature that you can give some personality to than a piece of wood and metal.
If only they'd have seen that CH afforded a different path to be an offensive force, we wouldn't see the state of Creature Handling in such a state of disarray.
Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to speak my mind a bit I guess...
