Creature Handler Archive

So I make another level in CH, and now I'm 4334. I figured I'd check out the rares list & see what I could find for myself. I jotted down the waypoints for a few creatures off SWGcreatures.com, got buffed, set my radar to maximum range, and off I went, my trusty crimson razor cat, Fluffy, by my side. 500m from the smugglers outpost, I come across 2 reds and a yellow, so I check it out, and boom, I tame a prowling gurreck. Not bad right? So I head to the waypoints listed for regular gurrecks. I find 2 adults, kill them, wait for the respawn, and damn, 2 more adults. I give them a little headshot3 loving, wait for the respawn, and lucky me, I'm the owner of two beautiful gurreck twins. While the respawn, I check the other lairs in the area, and got myself a Blurgg baby. (notice the level 50 theme here)

Next up, I put in some waypoints for arachne lairs, and with a few spawns, I get myself a baby arachne warrior. By now I'm deleting old pets from my datapad left & right, to make room for the new guys. I had to give up my first pet, my trusty BE cupa Dino, who got me started with CH, and served me well. Gone were my graul mauler twins, half of my giant crystal snake duo, and a few others I really had no connection with.

So now, my buffs have about a half hour left, so I figure I'd wrap up the day looking for something a little rarer. I started hitting up arachne lairs again, and boom, out pops a webmaster. I'm on a streak, right? Unfortunately, an adult popped too, and I had to hop on the bike to shake the agro. When I cam back, of course, the lair (and baby) were gone. So much for luck. And now, my buffs are down to 10 minutes. Wonderful.

As I'm leaving, a lair spawns, , with an adult arachne webmaster outside, so I killed it off, popped the lair, and out pops a baby. So I follow it. Into a lake. The MIDDLE of the lake. I failed to tame 8 times in a row, and by now, I have a few adults that popped out surrounding me & the baby. Fortunately, my mask scent held and my buffs had.....CRAP.... 30 seconds left. I try to tame that damn baby one more time, and just as my mask scent breaks, it tames. Seems that I deleted my prowling gurreck to make room for a reason.

So not a bad night, right? Wait, it gets better. I decided, brave as I am, it's time to head to dath to try for one last pet. The Rhoa kwi pack leader (and to get a screen of a bull, even if I can't tame one). So I hit the waypoints on SWGcreatures and.......nothing. A few guardian lairs, but no pack leader. I searched for a good 2 hours, and I'm NOT about to let my buffs run on dath, so I head back to the outpost, more than a bit disappointed. When what do I pass? A Rhoa kwi guardian and pack leader outside a lair. I sent fluffy in to distract them while I hit them with a little strafe2 action, knocked them off, tapped the lair, and..... SUCCESS! I'm the new proud parent of one UGLY dinosaur.

So.... One night, 2 buffs, 6 pets. 2 gurrecks, 1 webmaster, 1 blurgg, 1 arachne warrior (WHY did I delete the prowling gurreck for this guy? He's the next to get tossed) and 1 Rhoa kwi pack leader. And I've gotta tell you, I can't WAIT to try again when I hit master. I see a widow anda screecherin my future. Hell, with my luck, I might even get a bull or GPS. All in all though, a hell of a night.

Congrats, you shoulda dropped the warrior for the prowler though.
