saw 3 in 10 mins. Got one watched a rat kill the other. And Left the 3rd alone because no MCH's I know were online.
Also got a Giant Veermok yesterday as well.

I really really wish I knew the wasteland CuPas were that rare lol. I few weeks ago I managed to find myself in between two seperate spawns of them back to back. Out of those two spawns, I picked up 3 babies! I was pretty excited just for having a new pet lol, but then I release two of them after I trained them up!!! ARGH!!! <sniff> I still have old Grimm though, him and my Mountain Dewback get me where I need to go. So, how rare are they really?

I dont know how rare they are. But they are Tivo's Rare Pet list.
After seeing 3 of them in an hour I dont know if they are that rare. Then again I have been very lucky when it comes to Rare pets.
Only searched for a week before getting a GPS and Screecher.
Bu I doubt these things are rare. I found mine looking for that Boar in the Hero of Tat Quest. Stumbled across it like most of my rares.

I don't think wasteland cu pas are rare, they're just uncommon.
Having said that, I ran into three spawns while running the Mos Espa circuit on Ahazi three weeks back.

Yes they started spawning about 3 weeks ago. I have two plus I've given 4 away to others. I don't mind, I love that animal. Rusty is the only mount I ride, its one of the few that can't be duplicated by a BE and the others are just too dang tall.

They seem to go in cycles. I hunted diligently for 4 days to find one then suddenly they were everywhere on Corbantis. After about a week I didn't see any for two weeks. For the last three weeks every time I go to the areas outside Mos Entha I find a few nests of them.
So on Corbantis I would have to declassify them as uncommon right now but I don't know how long the cycle will last.

Wasteland Cu Pas are NOT rare, not even close to it.
I live out in the Western Dune Sea and see atleast two babies everyday, and if i'm out hunting near my home i'll seebetween 5 and 15 of them depending on what i'm hunting.

Well, I figure maybe the rarity has a lot do do with the spawn od teh Wastland CaPu adults vs the babies. Of all the sightings posted above, including my own, how many babies were in those nests? I would certainly agree with uncommon in anycase. I've been spending a lot of time on Tat latley and havent seen any for a while, and as a Ranger tracker, i stop and area track pretty often , so Im not just seeing what appears on my screen. Thanks for the feedback though, I feel a little better now heh heh. I dont think I could live with myself if I released 2 rares, and that would suck....who would pay the other half of my rent ?

It's not that they are rare, I just think their spawning area is fairly small. It also happens to be in the area of the boar, leading a lot of people to finding it in recent months.

If you want to find them they spawn alot around this waypoint (-6374, -2183) and further south.
