How I wish it was............. (CL 50 with Crippling Strike and Intimidate = niiiiice DNA)
But alas - no. Which is why they are rarish - common when they are "in season" - but that happens infrequently and doesn't last long

yeah... I spent 2 days on endor lookin and was at wits end when I posted this.... 20 mins later a friend pops over to endor help me out with the search, and what do we see .... a gurreck.
Got 2 samples 
I honestly never paid much attention to them until I really needed one... kinda sad

There always seems to be a spawn of 2 about 1KM north of the Smugglers Outpost. Just south of the village at the bottom of the cliff. South of that and a bit west.
I consider these guys a rare, as finding adults is hard enough let alone babies. However, I did get my two within a week of each other in this area, and I have seen many others in this same area since then. Not sure how the spawn rate is now that the DWB is there.

They are a static spawn and once you find the static spawn they ussually keep spawning there after you kill the ones that are there. Just got to give it some time If you need help looking for them just let me know.
