I started as CH Ranger for the RP purpose but I eventually wanted to get a decent tank pet. Unfortunately that never happened because our entire professions was nerfed into oblivion, stomped on, shot, set on fire, and run over by a car. To make the insult worse, they took away the one thing that still gave alot of us joy, showing off a pet YOU tamed. Bio-engineers are now the one stop shop for any pets for CH's that actually want to do well. I remember getting myself a war gronda with its 50 kinetic resist and being mightily impressed until some sod with a BE Cu-Pa came walking by with more Kinetic resist than I had ever seen before. If SOE is so keen about interdependent classes, how about making BE's more dependant on US rather than the other way around.
Heres the plan.
1: Bio-engineers can still make the entire host of non-ch pets, they are the premium non-ch pet providers.
2: BE's no longer make CH pets but rather get a wider variety of 10-'s which all have their own specialties that are discovered much like chef experimentation.
3: CH's are the only ones who can tame 11+ pets but they can take them to bioengineers to change their stats, colors, special abilities and temperments.
4: CH's gain the ability to breed pets, they can tame animals and breed sucessive generations of higher quality pets until they reach a maximum specialization level. Intervention by bioengineers can allow for more drastic changes such as causing rancors to spit acid or prowling gurrecks to poison their prey.
What do you think? CH is bland as it is now.

C'mon, least the Dev's decided some skins they'd save for CHs alone...
So you can ponce around with flying things. And nuna. We love nuna. Even if they will get slaughtered at the mere mention of the word "fight" And I'm pretty 50/50 on the subject of BEs. I do think CH needs something to give it some "unf!" as we're becoming a dead profession pretty fast.
Actually I bought a BE pet that had some 99 resists on it last night, I didn't even know BEs were capable of that, wasn't that why screecher's were so sought after? as well as being rare. I don't enjoy having to buy most of my pets but I do enjoy shopping.
I think the breeding idea is a rather nifty idea, it's an obvious advantage that CHs would be capable of over BE's without putting BE's out of pocket. It would also give us CHs something to work towards and give us more attachment to a pet.
Also I do think idea 3: is rather good and would quite enjoy it if pets had a wider colour palette therefore giving them more of an original feel, people complain about all the armours looking the same (and making us look the same) and that can be applied to pets too.
