I am starting on my Novice Scout Training.

I need some basic information about bones, hides, and meat.

which animals give the best ones.

what do I do with them when I get the containers full.

does anyone want to me to be a supplier?

My experiance with harvesting from creatures is that it gets better as you get more xp for the hunting tree.

Look for fat creatures to get the most hides and bones. (You want more hide than bones most of the time, because thats what tailors need) Meat is basically worthless, because theres probably 1 Chef on the entire galaxy...

And the containers dont get full, they just keep going until your inventory is full.

Be sure the sell the hides and bones...because you as a scout only need them for camps (2 hide and 2 bone each)

I can understand about the chef, since I can not find a food supplier either for my Marksman Skills.

It looks to be easy getting the explorer and hunting tree, but as for the other two.

I got the first tear on Explorer and and working my first tear in hunting.

I have not attempted to make traps or set them up yet.. not sure how hard its going to be.

Hi, im a novice scout and im trying to get more scouting expirience to be a creature handler. The thing is i dont really know what to do to gain expirience. Yeah killing things is good.... but i have a rifle and when i try to shoot most stuff it charges me and i cant keep distance causing my rifle to be worthless. Anyone maybe know of any slow animals that give u lots of expirience i could go after? Or just anything to help me out. I would really appreciate any advice. Ty

maybe try posting this in scout forum....start with smaller animals though, maybe something you can kill with one or two shots.....maybe a dwarf nuna

I'm not sure the damage your doing but on Coriella I did Paralope kill missions to get the experience I needed. With a pistol I usually killed them in two good shots and you can tease about 10 to 20 paralopes out of each lair so they worked fairly well for me. Those might be an option for you *smiles*

Kill blue's by circling Mos Espa. I gaines 5k exp an hour doing this. Most things are one shot kills to a rifle, using Mindshot 1. Stay away from whites,and rock mites. Later at night the better, as there are less people and more spawns. Use a pistol at close range, if you miss with the 1 shot rifle kill, or just take the pain. Not much else you can do.

It's boring as hell, and you will yearn for death, but you can grind through Scouting experience in 15-20 hours of this.

A creature harvest droid won't do anything for you that you dont have to do. A harvest droid is great in that it gives you the ability to harvest extra resource above what you normally could, and you can harvest with the droid while still fighting, but its doesn't do stuff without your commands.

It will still save you time- here's an example of how they work:

• First, you program the droid with a command phrase to harvest and what resource to harvest... say you program the droid to harvest meat when you say "H".


• Then you enter battle - and start clearing a lair.


• As your first target drops, and before switching to your next target, you give the "h" command.


• As you kill your second target at the lair, the droid is harvesting the first, etc...

It is very much a time saver and also if you are clearing out mobs that take a while, it will prevent you from missing a corpse that has 'expired' because you were too busy with the rest of the creatures at the lair who were aggro'd on you.
