Hi guys

With all thats been said about rares , i would like to know what would be the feasabilty of the baby spawn based on our characters experience with the creature. As in the more you kill, the more likely a baby would spawn.

This, i my opinion would give veteran mchs a veterans reward if you will and would also maybe even get other younger mchs to seek out our services. After all we are masters of animals. We should know or have tricks to make babies come out of there lairs. Basing it on randomness is getting real old real fast. Could be part of a quest to make our mchs more "powerful" in the sense of either a new skill or a bonus at master. It would give insensative for true masters to keep the profession for the thrill of the hunt. Maybe even get bonus for pets above our max lev.

If that's true, I think many of us would have our babies by now. I've done somewhere over 500 lairs (seeing as how I've recently made my first million in 18k Bull Rancor missions... Maybe less, as I've been near other people's missions in solo groups and gained their money. But I've also paid a ton for Doctors buffs, as I've been hunting for 6 months or so now [Started mid-January])

Anyway, I believe it's more likely that it's random (well, as "random" as a computer can be).

I think they have nerffed CH enough. It is hard enough now for a new CH to master. There is no need to make it tougher on them. Besides, by now, I would be up to my rear in quenker babies and would never have gotten my TKM to TKM. lol It is bad enough we are forced to grind combat missions for money. No need to make us grind even more to get rares. I think it is great if a brand new MCH goes out and gets a Bull Rancor on his first try. I want to hunt with that dude. lol If they were not rare, we would not be collecting them.

Ah, didn't read this part of the post carefully enough. If you're suggesting that this change be put into place, I'm definitely all for it

I like the idea, though that would be a lot of data to track for each person.

I like the true rarity and luck factor, personally. You never know when the big day will be.

yes! I know what you mean solo spawn are a real pain , just to find them can take hours if not months .

Once you actualy do find one, well at least a baby should spawn And for lairs well no kidding

say at 50 lairs u get a 25% bonus chance of a rare baby... at 150 lairs u get a 50% chance...and so on...

lol id have 3 bulls by now at 314 lairs lol it sucks!

The database thing wouldnt be such a problem i find, Just have a progress sheet for a player, if the player has MCH then track the flaged creatures with are rare. or rather the creature kills its self

Example: Joe Blow MCH

40 Bull Rancors Baby chance 5%

3 GPSBaby chance 10%

70 widows Baby chance 40%

Obviously the numbers are just made up numbers, but something along those lines

Of course if the player drops mch well his chances drop to random or 0

I have no problem with your proposal, but this is something they kinda have set up for Rangers. Rangers are supposed to know more about creatures and there habits and strengths and weaknesses. This I believe is the reasoning they gave for not allowing more creature knowledge in the CH tree. Thus making a CH take Master Scout to see the CL of a creature and being I believe Tracking 3 in Ranger to start to see specials, with Master Ranger being able to see Damage output.

I like your proposal, but in this game setup I think they would like the dependence on another profession and not on another in your own profession with the exception of training or getting items you can't get at your level, i.e. the old Manage 4 used to mean something with /transfer being there and needing it to sell pets to dabblers.

One alteration to your idea, maybe not the more we kill of a certain creature but the more we have tamed of the lower variations. i.e. Bull Rancor, finding and taming Gnarled and normal Rancors lending experience to finding a Bull baby. Or Grauls and Graul Maulers lending experience to finding Frenzied Grauls (which are not to be found in baby form right now). This way they can't say it has anything to do with Rangers, and their knowledge of creatures, but our knowledge of working with many babies of that particular creature.

Anyway, nice proposal, and good luck out there.

Then it wouldn't be very rare, would it? It kind of defeats the purpose of having a "rare" animal in the game.

i just wish theyd fix the spawn rates on solo spawning rares, i think there should be at least 1 spawn of the creature active at any point in time on a particular planet, of course its very unlikely that spawnwill give a baby, at least finding it gives you hope, rather than running around for12 hours with a 15 wp tracking system and finding nothing - thats just not fun.

I like the idea of tricking babies out of a lair. Maybe we should at least be able to examine a lair and determine if there are babies inside?

The Devs might perceive that as being a source of throwaway missions, but we already do that anyway. The fact that we take missions and destroy the lair without getting what we *really* want is disappointing and inflating the economy anyway.

Give me a shadowed forest into which I might disappear.
Give me a terrible foe and stack the odds against me.
Give me friends and creatures with whom I can share my adventures, my losses and my gains.
Let the gales blow and the world be torn asunder but don't make me stand alone against the tempest.
