Not sure if this was posted somewhere else.. At least I haven't found it. But I find a couple of things odd about creature handler's pets.
1) Why do pets not do full damage to a mission flag / camp / dirt mound / etc? (Example my pet gurreck does 390 to 500 damange range and I see in the combat tab that it is only doing 230 to 260 damage almost consistantly.)
2) Something about rancors... My pet rancor diseases creatures only on Dathomir. How come rancors all of a sudden don't disease if they are on a different planet / moon?
3) Imperial / Rebel faction based missions... Why do pets not give you faction for attacking and killing a NPC of the opposite faction or for that matter reduce how much you get for one when you attack the same target yourself? My feeling is that the CH's weapons are the pets and should be able to get you faction.
I have a couple of suggestions to help make CH a more usefull profession. But I will leave that for another post.

Number 3 is one of my biggest beefs about being a CH with no other combat skills. I am part of a faction, but can't gain any points through combat/missions. It's one of the items I hope to have addressed when we go through the GCW revamp.
As for numbers 1 and 2, I haven't noticed this myself. My pets seem to damage lairs within their damage range (and on rare occassions actually do their damage multiplier that was supposed to happen when a lair was finished spawning back when they upped the HP on lairs.) Perhaps someone else has some ideas.

Number 1 has been a sticking point with me for quite some time. I get so used to it though that I forget to bring it up very often.

Is thisa Bio-Engineered rancor? I don't think I've ever heard of attacks being influenced by what planet you're on. Is it possible the battles are just ending before he decides to try for a disease attack? Disease, Poison, and Knockdown are the three special attacks that don't seem to work with the "Special Attack 1" and "Special Attack 2" training commands. The pet does them randomly of its own volition. Possibly the battles weren't lasting long enough for him to land one?

It is a wild Rancor not a BE one. The disease is not part of the specials you can assign acommand to but rather something extra that the rancor does on its own. I have used it attacking all sorts of things on different planets. But it has only diseased on Dathomir. The Frenzied Choku also diseases on its own this way but it does it on any planet. Could possibly be a bug with the rancor itself.

I wish some of my pets had blast damage.
You can test it pretty easily by watching the damage your pet does with and without specials. When using a special, they do full damage for some reason. I have my pets use specials a lot, so that's the other reason I forget about this. (I'm a pure CH. It gets boring if I don't order them to do specials.)
