Ok, I'm new to CH and I have been reading alot of the messages you folks have been puting up. I thought I was beginning to understand how to get the most XP form fighting with my animals until last night. I'm working out of Talus near Nashal doing guf drolg missions, and I started out using my 1 of my 4-day old decay mite babies and was getting about 105 xp per guf drolg, it started losing ham so I stored it and called my second decay mite baby withthe sameresults. After I stored the secondbaby, I called my old carrion spat mount and fought some more, then I noticed that instead of 105 XP per kill I was getting 170 XP. When I realized this I was so confused thatthe next guf drolg almost incapped me. Does anyone know why my lvl 10 carrion spat was gettingme moreXP than the baby lvl 9 decay mites? I checked the stats and both have specials (which I can't train), the decay mite has a sp 1 crippling strike and the carrion spat has a sp2 stunning strike. This doesn't make sense to me, from what I've beenreading the lower lvl mites should be getting more XP for the same lvl kill (right?). Any help with this would be appreciated.

It's not lowest pet level = highest experience.

Instead creatures have an optimum pet level to kill them at. There's probably a formula to it but i can't be bothered to work it out. I'll use sharnaff's as an example since i know these for sure.

Using a level 16 pet against a sharnaff weilds the highest experience per kill. Using a level 15 or a level 17 pet will result in a slightly lower experience rewards. This gets lower and lower the further you get from the optimum level.

Try several different pets on a creature and try and figure out where the optimum level lies.
